fog light kit installed in the front bumper will solve this problem. Cheap ones will cost you less than $200. A good fog light (ie baja design) will be around $350.
insert a door edge guard on the weather seal of the applique that touches the roof glass. Mine now is sealed and yes I live in SoCal. With that rain that we had, no water got in during my drive and car wash. If you’re going to the cyber odyssey event this January, I can show you
What psi are you running your Baja Boss AT? How's the tread wear? I just got mine installed yesterday and I'm figuring out the ideal tire pressure on normal everyday driving.
I performed a chalk test and it seems that at 50 and 45 psi the tire shoulders are not making contact with the road...
The OEM Pirellis only have 10/32nd tread depth brand new same with the Goodyear OEMs. I don't know why Tesla chose those 2 when there are a lot of better options for All Terrain tires. Most of them have 16 to 18/32nd tread depth.
KO3 are for owners who venture into off-roading. Ride will be...
here’s a pic.
also, after inserting the foam, make sure to leave around 2” excess on both sides before cutting. Leave it for a day with the excess to give the foam time to shrink back before cutting the excess.
the cone makes it easier to insert and fish the foam to the other side of the...
yup, it pushes the tailgate a little bit so there’s a good seal. Little leaking on the sides where the weather seal ends which I’m ok with. Pretty good seal with dust too.
I had the foam backer rod inserted in the tonneau’a weather seal. I ran the truck on a dusty offroad mountain fire road and it kept the dust and dirt out. Whole truck is covered in dust.
I took the truck to the automatic car wash and water did not get in, except for a few drops on the left...
that’s left over from my doors. So I just used what I have.
the non textured ones will look better but it might be too soft to make a tight seal on the glass
i wish i was. Since then I’ve driven it 3k miles with probably 200 miles offroading and no new big chunks yet. These tires are soft as baby’s shit. But was surprised that it performed well off road and snow.
have you ever filed a complain regarding tires before? How do you start the process?
sorry, it’s a bit of a work to do that. Once you removed the aero flap, you’ll see the removable weather seal the slides out. That’s where you would put the edge protector. That edge protector will bump against the glass roof tightly so the water wont leak in.
After doing this fix, it rained heavily here in socal for 1 week. Not a drop of water got in. I was surprised it worked. Then after offroading for 3 days (see my other posts regarding the core wheels off roading), dust didn’t get in except near the tailgate but minimal. I powerwashed the truck...
