Just got a Trailmanor hard shell pop up camper -- towing stats

Update: Our test trip worked out well. It was a little too hot (95° hi) but we wanted to test things out and make sure we had everything we needed before traveling further. Once again right at 600 wh/mi with mixed driving mostly highway speeds. When we go to the keys in a couple of weeks I...

Just got a Trailmanor hard shell pop up camper -- towing stats

There’s the Pebble and The Lightship. Both really cool but I don’t see myself ever spending that much either ?.

I have a CCS1 adapter coming. They seem to have more trailer friendly chargers. Flying J has gas station style which I like. I don’t like the idea of unhooking but I’m sure I will need to on my trip to Montana several times. I agree around 500 miles range would be great. I’m sure they will get...

Just got a Trailmanor hard shell pop up camper -- towing stats

We actually haven’t been camping yet. We have a trip planned for the keys in one month. But we want to do a trial in a week or two. Going on a trip to visit family or we would go this week. Here is a picture of it popped up though. Before I cleaned it with a magic eraser. Another picture showing...

Nice foggy morning here in Lexington šŸ“

From KY. Moved to south FL for a year to test it out and adventure before we have children. It’s so brown here right now (drought and warm summer grass). I’m ready to move back to the shire ?. I will miss this weather but not as much as I miss the green rolling hills.

Hauling loose dirt, mulch, gravel etc in flatbed. Any and all advice appreciated!!

I would consider renting a dump trailer. You don’t have to worry about dirt and damage to your bed. Plus more importantly it will save your back.

Do you think a canvas pop up offers the exact same protection then? From what I’ve read some campgrounds won’t even allow soft pop ups. I don’t think it would stop a determined bear at all but it should at least give you more time. I’m more interested in the reliability, durability and ease of...

My buddy said I should’ve got a non pop up so I could hang out and the back while it drives me ?.

Just got a Trailmanor hard shell pop up camper -- towing stats

It weighs right around 2900lbs dry. Filled with tools supplies I’d guess 3000-3100. If you filled gray water tank and fresh water tank it would probably be around 3500lbs. I doubt I will do that unless I dry camp somewhere. I’m going to take it from FL to KY and then Montana this fall so I will...

Just got a Trailmanor hard shell pop up camper -- towing stats

Dang! That is crazy. The people we bought this from said it happened to their mother. Got in their A frame pop up and then got into their tow vehicle and both were trashed.

Just got a Trailmanor hard shell pop up camper -- towing stats

Looks great! This is our first camper. If we love it and keep going I would definitely go Airstream in the future. Love the look, especially next to the CT. Also just a very well built product.

Just got a Trailmanor hard shell pop up camper -- towing stats

I have been looking at traditional pop up campers. Camping World had a couple for a pretty good online price but they upped the price by 50% when I got there after all their fees. They were fixer uppers too. Long story short not happy with them after driving 2.5 hours each way. I randomly came...

Cybertruck hitch analysis by Engineering Explained

Agreed. I enjoy his videos. I’m still going to tow with mine but I do hope in the future they make some adjustments. I’d like to be able to tow more than 11k also. About 14k max tow would be ideal. I think the Ramcharger is a cool concept but I absolutely love the CT. Plus i could see it having...

    Towing 15k lbs with a Model 3

I thought this would be a good video for anyone scared of towing with a CT. With all the controversial videos coming out about the rear casting breaking. Not going to say this is the smartest thing I’ve ever seen lol but the CT is definitely capable of towing 11k.

Evacuating LA Fires w/ Our Cybertruck & Starlink

I agree, but I visited SF this fall to visit some family. Wow it’s insanely beautiful. Few years ago I visited Huntington Beach and Malibu. They have crazy good weather. It never rains. Obviously not good right now. Mountains and beautiful landscape. I’m from KY. California surprised me how nice...

Commercial Tax Credit Experiences? How-To? - Self Employed S-Corps/LLC's etc

I was told by my accountant that you don’t need it registered in your business name if you have a single filer LLC. Has anyone else heard this?

    Is Cybertruck demand dwindling?

My brother has a Lightning and loves it. He puts all his tools and chargers in the frunk. Lightning is a better work truck in many ways and I think a very good value now. My wife has a model 3 and I find myself driving it over my corvette. It’s just easy and smooth. I’m certainly a fan. I think...

    Is Cybertruck demand dwindling?

I’ll hopefully be taking delivery in the next week or two. But I test drove one and it’s the best vehicle I’ve ever driven. Especially if you’re used to driving trucks. The steer by wire and 4 wheel steering are amazing. Then you mix in the air suspension which is high end luxury level comfort...
