Mine is in service again and told within spec.

They are vin locked. Can’t change vin codes. Also they are etched into the metal and on the dash. Why would they still be selling them?

Fred hated Elon and Tesla and most are false or Half truths. He did an article last year that they were rubbing off foundation series trucks selling them as non foundation. We all know that was BS.

What’s the vin range of you all having this issue? Mine is 47k. Seems to be ones built around October 24

As someone who also has a rivian I can tell you at least in SoCal it’s an absolute disaster. 5 month waits to get in. Had 17 service appointments on my R1T. Many repeat issues.

Tesla denied my motor replacement even when hearing this noise. They said no active alerts so can’t replaced. Very annoying.

Did they have to send noise to engineering to get approval?

Got mine to work in this location by sitting onto the one corner of the divider.

No free supercharging anymore.

Does anyone have the service notes they can share with them replacing the motor? My SC said they sent the noise recording to Tesla and they wouldn’t replace. Mine sounds like a bad wheel bearing noise but it’s definitely in the motor.

I have this same motor noise issue. Service said Tesla mothership said it’s normal. It doesn’t seem normal. I also have a rattle in the air vents under the dash they can’t fix currently. Any rough road it triggers it.
