  1. Cybertruck Cabin Camp Beds - my DIY solution

Since 2019 when we got our first Tesla, we've been big fans of Tesla camping, since we can run heat or A/C so easily and efficiently. In our M3, MY and MX, this was pretty easy, just put a mattress in the back. I wanted this same functionality for the CT, but it wasn't easy. I'm very much a...
  2. Hurricane cleanup w/ Cybertruck in Bradenton Florida: towing, sleeping, providing power

As expected, we went over to Bradenton again last weekend. We camped in the CT, same as the previous weekend. I'm going to make another thread with some pictures of the front and rear camp beds. - Left Merritt Island Friday with 100% charge - CT estimated we would make it to Arcadia with 9% - I...
  3. Hurricane cleanup w/ Cybertruck in Bradenton Florida: towing, sleeping, providing power

We'll be going down again next weekend. I'll get some pictures of both beds then.
  4. Hurricane cleanup w/ Cybertruck in Bradenton Florida: towing, sleeping, providing power

Our church did hurricane cleanup in Bradenton this weekend. Good use of the Cybertruck. - Pulling trailer with 3,500 pound electric tractor (Solectrac e25G) - Left Merritt Island Friday around 4 pm with 100% charge - Charged in Fort Pierce, arrived with forty some percent (can't remember) -...
  5. FSD general release rollout (outside Early Access) is happening! Install yours yet?

Installed last night. Working well. It's fine if you're not in a hurry ;-) We have a long trip planned in November, just glad it's here in time for that. I wish we could cover the camera and just have steering wheel nag, as on our other Tesla's, using Auto Pilot. Cybertruck doesn't seem to...
  6. FSD general release rollout (outside Early Access) is happening! Install yours yet?

You might try getting into service mode and requesting a re-update. There's lots of info the InterWeb on getting into service mode etc.
  7. Unusual use of our Cybertruck today: animal rescue

Unusual use of our Cybertruck today. A pelican with a wing hurt has been hanging around our yard all day. We took him/her to a wildlife rescue hospital. Thanks to my ever brave wife for all her help and making me laugh.
  8. Any CT owners experience an unexpected sudden "jerks" from the suspension while at standstill

Same for my AWD, a few times over the last month. My guess, the suspension leaks air slightly over time. The control system decides it need to raise the suspension back up to compensate. Maybe it happens when driving too, but we don't notice it with all the other bumps etc. Doesn't bother me.
  9. My Spare Tire Solution - Mounted on Roof Rack

I've used this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BY9RG2MN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8 Pretty straight forward, no glue. It lasted until I replaced the tire, probably 15 to 20k. I recently bought this one...
  10. Article on Cybertruck triggering (article attached) -- The Cybertruck: A culture war on wheels

Here on the Space Coast of Florida, so far no negative reactions that I've recognized. I was walking into Publix the other day and a guy parked beside me said "Nice space ship". Not sure if that was meant to be negative, I just said "Thanks!". Lots of positive, especially kids, as many others...
  11. Does an EV really save you money? Cybertruck vs Ram Diesel Comparison

I had a quick look at the video, seems like he's doing a reasonable comparison. There are so many factors though. A big one to me is whether you need to routinely supercharge. The cost per kwh when supercharging is 34 to 50 cents or so. Could be more, I haven't seen less than that lately (used...
  12. Sub-Bed storage fumes?!

Smells like fiberglass or epoxy resin to me. Three weeks and the smell is still there. Doesn't bother me though.
  13. Insurance quote woes

I used Geico when I first got my M3 in 2019, rate was high. Switched to Progressive next time I renewed, much better rate. I've tried shopping around a few times since, but Progressive seems to be the best for Tesla.
  14. Do rear seats fold forward for storage?

If I understand what your looking for, these pictures should help. We keep the bed cover closed all the time, so the center rear view mirror is removed and we just use the rear view image on the screen. Blocking the rear window with a gun rack would make no difference for us.
  15. My "Montana Wrap"

Did you pay extra for the environmental self-adaption option? Every trip is like a fresh new wrap!
  16. Cybertruck brings the haters...

Good point. What's it to the haters? Jealousy is the most likely explanation, I think. Had ours for a week, so far pretty positive, but really not that much attention. Here on the Space Coast of Florida I think folks are getting used to CT's. I don't happen to have any haters in my circle of...
  17. FUD - you bet!!

I'd be happy with just autopilot. I like driving, but love to relax and enjoy the world around me without having to keep the car between the lines. Just got our CT a week ago. As was said, given the choice between the X with autopilot and the CT...you know the answer.
  18. Paying for purchase with Plaid?

I'm not a big fan of Plaid. I've purchased 4 Tesla's so far. For the first two (M3 & MX), I was able to just give them bank routing and account info. For the last two (MY & MX), Plaid was the only online payment option. I started to use Plaid, but both times it asked for my bank login and...
