The order page for the lower priced AWD truck shows estimated deliver of “2027”, which is a change from the 1Q 2027 it was a couple of days ago. So it doesn’t seem like they have capacity to make more trucks until 12-18 months from now. If their ability to make the trucks is constrained for the...
Yeah, I was over in Bellevue/Redmond last week at a few appointments and I saw a number of them out and about. Lots of matte black wraps. When I pulled into the Supercharger in Mill Creek on the way home, I was the 3rd Cybertruck charging, so almost enough to have a proper posse.
I'm up in the San Juans but took a trip to Seattle last week to run a bunch of errands. 6 months ago, I'd have gotten middle fingers all over, but the number on this trip was: 250 miles & 0 middle fingers. I felt confident when I bought my CB last March that the haters would have the attention...
Maybe I’m just bad at business, but lowering the price on something so you can sell a lot of them when you’d be losing somewhere around $20K per unit seems…..suboptimal.
”Hey, boss, at that price we’re losing $20K per truck we sell.”
”Yeah yeah yeah Mr. Negativity, we’re gonna make it up with...
I’m up in the San Juans, but I go back and forth to Seattle/Bellevue every couple of weeks. The last couple of months I’m not seeing middle fingers too much in Seattle. Honestly the only reactions I get are on the island I live on, and those are a 50/50 mix of middle fingers accompanied by...
I had the windshield tinted when I had the side windows done. STEK ceramic 80%, so the tint is barely noticeable, but the ceramic in the film makes a big difference in heat transmission. I had the side windows tinted down to the legal limit in my state.
Re: fading or chipping: I painted the calipers on my Corvette years ago with a 2 part epoxy paint made for high temp use cases and I never had any issues of fading or chipping. It’s a bit of a pain to use, but it’s durable as hell.
Yep, when people ask me questions about the CT in parking lots, I always invite them to come and take a look at the size of the bed and the back seat. I keep the back seat folded up so my two golden retrievers have a giant dog bed back there. People are genuinely shocked at the size of the...
I just bought a 2025 Lightning Platinum a few weeks ago to replace my 2012 Tundra as my "island truck" we use to haul manure around and take stuff to the dump on the island we live on. I love it, but it doesn't hold a candle to my Cyberbeast.
100% true - I had a 2012 Tundra that I paid $46K for 15 years ago that I just sold for $25K about 2 weeks ago. Not the smallest depreciation I ever had in a car, but close.
Well said. I'd also add that if you want to see crushing depreciation, try owning a 7 series BMW. A few years ago I bought a new 750Li. I paid a bit over $100K, not counting sales taxes. Five years later I sold the car with about 115K miles on it for the KBB value of around $24K. It was a hell...
There's a Seattle area FS AWD showing up on the Tesla inventory web page today. Shows as in-transit to Lynnwood. New, not a demo, free supercharging. $89,990.
