I am using FSD north of 99%. It’s typically between 99.1-99.3% FSD.
1. It feels much safer driving than 99% of humans I am in the passenger seat with…as passenger.
2. It gets me to my final destination with virtually no stress. Does it always choose the route I would have chosen, no. But...
I was considering the first option too and decided on your second option. I saw several threads where people using the power overhead ran into interference problems related to FSD, etc. I decided I didn't want to take the risk with anything like that.
That's funny. Both Hansshow and Teslasy told me they had the other device (mirror or dashscreen) and if I wanted to buy their version "it would work". Obviously, I am passed it because I figured out a solution that worked and truthfully, after running the wires I don't feel like messing with it...
Thanks for posting this. It's a good reminder to stay present. Honestly, over the last month or two, I have been getting too lax. FSD has been driving over 99% of my miles over the last 4000 miles. Before, I was always concerned about pedestrians in busy parking lots and that fear has pretty...
I think this is spot on. I was kind of working through the same details and trying to figure out if I need to do the extra power supply. I also bought a portable AC/heater. It looks like to me most of the places we are planning have a power connection onsite. I figure charging onsite during the...
No it didn’t and doesn’t. But ok. Once it’s using vision more, the problem will go away.
You can watch it adhere to incorrect gps speeds all the time. You can also run multiple gps apps to confirm it’s the case (as I do). When Apple and Tesl, Google and Tesla, all show incorrect speed limits...
They aren’t reading the signs, right? They are using gps map data. If they start using vision to override gps map data then it would be better. Hopefully that’s coming.
The problem is, waving is useless if you have tinted windows. That was me first response because I have been a long time corvette and jeep guy. Seems natural.
I had the hansshow v2 mirror and I
the Teslasy 10.88” dash screen. I posted pictures in another thread when I was trying to figure it out.
From what I can tell, the car wiring is setup for daisychain which tells me that it’s their harnesses. I could change the order and whichever source I...
I just went through this same type of thing. By using the power under the passenger kick panel, I could only get the rearview mirror or the 10.88” screen but not both. Whichever was plugged in first worked fine.
I also have the refrigerator sitting in the front floorboard and it’s plugged into...
I did that for both son and daughter’s model 3. Purchased with FSD and ultimately decided I didn’t want my son to have it because I was afraid he might be incentivized to get behind the wheel when he shouldn’t…”my car will drive me.”
Told him if he is in a situation he shouldn’t drive, uber...
Yep. I have over 650miles on FSD 14.2.1 and FSD has officially driven 99% of miles. I only take over in parking lots to park. I always let FSD drive to leave. ..but I like picking my spot.
it’s been incredible. I did have one issue where the speed limit was incorrect, but ai selected the mode...
That surprising. I have seen massive improvements in 14.2 when compared to the previous versions. Been driving 99% FSD.
Mine is downloading now. FSD 14.2 has been so good for me, with 99% driving FSD. Truthfully, the only time I drive is parking lots. I also experienced an error right after the...
I was told the standard wiring harness they use is a 12v DC connection. I was originally going to simply splice into that power because I am sure that the circuit would support both the mirror and the dash screen. However, since I don’t know what’s upline or where the power flows, I didn’t want...
I figured out a way to make this work. I will have to get more pictures after I am done running wires. I got a 2-port surge protector for the 110 outlet under the rear screen. My refrigerator is plugged into one outlet. The other outlet, I used a 12v DC converter plugged into a cigarette charger...
From what I can tell, Yeslak is the same mirror.
The issue is, on the right side, there is one plug that carries power. The two wiring harnesses both have male and female connectors. Whichever plug I connect to the original plug with power, lights up.
The second item down line doesn’t get...
Keep the original bumper and simply swap. Or if it's not worth the hassle, you can make mods, but they may charge for mods on trade. I have leased a bunch of cars. Sometimes I have bought them out. Sometimes I have returned them. Most of the time I have simply exercised the buyout on trade if I...
