In practice, they're almost always lined-up in the middle perfectly because you need to make sure the bolt holes line up with the t-slot nut. Also, it's super easy to slide the center piece left and right before you tighten them down ;)

08.15 is the day!!!! ?

We camped in this setup with a RTT similar X-Cover (our weighs 150 lbs.) with 2 adults over the past weekend! Only 2 crossbars and a set of level bars were used, no other support. You can still close the tonneau cover at night. We will be releasing more details on our setup next week! Basically...

The kit comes with t-slot bolt which slides into crossbars, and then use the included M8 flange nuts to bolt it down!
