The Cybertruck has larger 4680 cells. I do not know if Tesla could stick more in the main pack. Maybe the 4680 cells are not as energy dense as Tesla had hoped. Maybe it’s a manufacturing yield issue, but something happened in the Cybertruck development that caused Tesla to settle for this...

You have got to be kidding me. Looks like more than 1/3 of the bed. Decreased payload. At $16K! Frankly Tesla should have gone with a software locked extended battery. While not a 470 mile range, say 390-400 miles would be better than this bizarre (stupid) option.
