Those are not the original covers. Those are the re-designed Cyber wheel covers, the same ones that Tesla will give you if you ordered your Foundation Series with Cyber wheels and didn't receive them at delivery.
Tesla will presumably never sell the original Cyber wheel covers at any point...
It's a matter of what your time is worth to you. Supercharging is harder on the battery, but evidence has shown that it doesn't really have much impact on degradation over the useful life of the vehicle. The thermal management system in Tesla vehicles is top notch. Personally, I charge at...
I'm really surprised the light and heavy loads backup options are so much more expensive compared to the main breaker separation.
I watched most of the install and it was 2 people for most of the working day. My install was just under $2,400 and including moving 1 circuit (fridge) from my 2nd...
Agreed, but either of those systems provide redundancy alongside a parking brake.
4WD with transfer case would still have prevented the front wheels (with traction) from rolling if parking brake had immobilized the rears.
The reality is that launching a boat alone is a risky endeavor and...
I think we've seen from other issues like Teslas sliding down driveways when parked on snow, the electronic parking brake is only on the rear wheels and if they slip, the front wheels will roll freely.
Unlike a traditional automatic transmission with a parking pawl or a manual transmission...
Yeah, I have the MyQ box for my garage, it works with Homelink garage openers as well. I don't use the auto open/close feature, but multiple times now it has closed when prompted (while backing out of the driveway) and then opened again as I was driving away. I don't know if it has something...
1. Don't believe the Foundation Series being sold now include the Powershare hardware. Hardware is $2,500 (install extra), basically the transfer switch and bi-directional wall connector. You can get similar functionality (although entirely manual) using the 14-50 outlet in the bed (9.6kW vs...
There is no autosteer capability on CT currently, you get TACC or you get FSD.
It's a reasonable assumption that Tesla should be able to feature limit FSD and provide functionality that used to be limited to autopilot and enhanced autopilot, but that doesn't currently exist.
This is most...
Unless something has changed on the Cybertruck (or newer Tesla models in general), the camera feeds are simple HDMI (or similar) video feeds running into the AP computer. I had an MMI for my 2016 Model X (AP2) that gave me an HDMI input (for cell phone mirroring or whatever) that I could toggle...
Fairly certain airborne debris is a comprehensive claim, not collision. Hitting something on the roadway is collision.
Clearly airborne since it impacted the front of the vehicle above ground level.
I believe that is exactly what they changed. Wiping only on the way up meant it never had enough pressure to spray well on the passenger side. This change reads like it sprays continuously starting with the 3rd sweep.
My left tires were 1/32nd less than the matching right and the rears 1/32nd less than matching front. I also wanted to rotate the spare into the mix, since I'll likely switch to all seasons. If everything wears similarly, they'll all be fairly equal at next rotation. I'm expecting to get ~24k...
Discount Tire is my go to, I've never seen them use a lift, just 4 floor jacks. Always been free, but I've been a customer forever, possible they charge if you've never bought tires from them before.
There's certainly nothing technically preventing this functionality and a few weeks ago, the Tesla app actually had an option to go on and off grid on demand (it has since vanished). My assumption is that there could be some battery warranty implications to work out since you conceivably put...
No sweat, I deleted my response since it seemed unnecessarily snippy. I haven't removed mine many times since installing. I'm not overly concerned about the plastic damaging the wheel finish, but I can imagine they will eventually pick up abrasives from the road and slowly wear away at the...
Don't separate the 2 parts when you remove them. Just grab behind 2 of the 7 spokes and pull the 2 parts off together. The clips that hold the 2 parts together are definitely the more fragile of the 2 and when removed as 1 piece, it stays aligned to reinstall on the same wheel.
There have also been on and off app issues that prevented reserving the extender. I'm hoping there will be a way to order it as an accessory even if you didn't reserve.
