lol. You dont think one of those recommendations should be go to Tesla and ask them to check It out because I think any car, whether its an AMG or a Toyota Prius should be able to lock up the tires when braking. However, in the described instance. My CT did not feel like it had any power to lock...
Ya, sorry man. The world is set up for credit. That said, Tesla nor any of the banks who financed my cars have asked for a W2. I do have a credit score though.
Need to either have good credit as in a FICO score or good credit among your friends and business associates for them to help you...
Im the OP. I love the truck. Just stating my experience to see if anyone else has felt the same thing.
Its not rocket science. I wanted to go out and test it but ive for a lot of stuff in the truck bed I need to move tomorrow that would not take well to hard 70-0mph stops.
The truck is new...
As
Yup must be a defect. Felt exactly like brake fade at the track but the cruising at 70mph on the highway is no track.
I know what brakes should feel like on high performance cars and trucks. Had em all. Ferrari’s to 3500 dualy trucks.
My other current car is a Landcruiser i built for...
Yup brake fade is exactly what it felt like. Just weird to have brake fade while cruising on a highway. Pushed hard on the pedal and the truck just kept rollin.
Also, was coming down a steep hill towing a trailer and tried stopping for a stop sign….. I ended up rolling right through the sign.
I initially blamed myself for that one but after this highway incident I believe the brakes on the CT need an upgrade/update. Unless mine is defective
Anyone have to do an emergency stop yet? Had to push the brakes fairly hard yesterday when a large object flew onto the highway causing traffic in front of me to suddenly stop and swerve. I had good follow distance at 70mph but did not have enough stopping power to avoid the car in slowing...
This is exactly my concern. Ive towed many times with various vehicles. I had a specific question about using a WD with the Cybertruck but instead getting unrelated responses.
I looked up a lot of cybertruck towing videos prior to towing and saw towing range listed be between 95-120 miles...
Id rather not have to hook up a weight distribution hitch. Towing so far has been great. Just not sure if highway patrol would have an issue with not using one on a technically only a half ton truck
Ok so. Unless your tongue weight on the hitch is less than what the scale can measure. Its obvious weight will be transferred to the rear when you hook a trailer up. What number do you want to see on the scales exactly?
Ive towed up and down hills, highways and all with the Cybertruck. It...
Im reading that its 0.5x the weight of the truck. Example truck is 6000lbs. Would need a weight distribution hitch when trailer is 3000lbs and above.
I just saw a video
Of Tesla hauling a car trailer using a weight distribution hitch. Ill just go ahead and purchase one.
I tow often and trailer is balanced.
7k-10k load. Trailer is a 20ft and 24ft enclosed car trailer driven everywhere.
Tongue weight is correct and within range along with trailer balance. My question was if I needed a weight distribution hitch.
It wasnt a requirement on my 3500 (realize i put...
Most of the miles on my CT have been with an enclosed car trailer with car inside.
My last truck was a Chevy 2500 Dually. I have to say, the CT tows great.
I want to dial in my setup and searched the interwebs but only finding contradicting information. Do I need a weight distribution hitch or...
Im going all in using it as a work truck (construction). I sold my Mercedes Sprinter van yesterday. Showed up to some jobsites for the first time as well. Not the same as a van but ill make it work
Anyone know when the CyberRak picktir
Any idea when this will be ready or how lomg production would take after an order? I sort of need one asap to carry ladders. Got my CT and a buyer of my old work truck waiting for me to be set up.
