From another thread...
Reminded me of my experience the other day.
I was out getting drinks with a bunch of friends and the conversation caught on that my Cybertruck was being delivered soon. Most of them did not know what a cybertruck was, so I showed a picture on my phone and the girls...
The CT won't face anything like the plaids supply and demand situation.... Starting with high demand and ultra low covid era supply, moving to low demand high supply.
I'm confident that "foundation series" will continue to live on as a "better value" for anyone planning on purchasing FSD, and that non-foundation series models will have a higher base price after this order period.
The trucks will definitely not be immediately $20k cheaper after this order...
I assumed it was because here in Maine, most zip codes start with 0, which causes errors in systems that treat zip as an integer. You lose the leading zero.
I submitted again. IDK if other states have leading zero zips too.
This is a good sign, I have been watching Joe's videos to assess the ramp and it's appeared to be painfully slow. Much slower than the now-broken vin tracker suggested. It appeared they were doing maybe 15 - 25 a day.
However, this lot could be filling up as a holding place for final...
Honestly, if the Hummer EV in the real-world was priced competitively with the CT, and if the NACS port was integrated, I would choose the Hummer EV hands down (the removable roof panels do it for me).
However, it's impossible to find a "base model" or any selling for under $115k. The AWD...
Yeah if your credit is generally good because you have no debt, and you maintain a lot of available credit, pulling your credit score only makes a small temporary ding that is immaterial to your ability to qualify for a good rate or any amount.
This definitely means there is a safety issue or major defect. It's the equivalent of a dealership stop sale. There is liability if they make the delivery, not simply a cosmetic imperfection.
There are reports of this happening all over so it seems there is potentially a widespread issue they...
Are they actually selecting influencers who are likely to give glowing obsessive reviews even if they have issues to receive trucks at this time?
It definitely feels like most of the deliveries are wrap shops and influencers or like part of some "favorites" list.
Meanwhile, most first and...
Dealers usually suck, but there are those moments when the dealer is desperate and will let you drive away with just a promissory note, and haggle a ton of value into the deal.
If the dealership vibes are off, just come back closer to the end of the quarter and they'll treat you like a god.
This has been tested in court many times, the purchase agreement is iron clad. It's not a brand new concept. It's a standard agreement based on past court decisions and precedent.
There are still a lot of CT's parked outside the factory with pieces of trim missing. It's very likely there is still a large supply chain issue, especially as they discover manufacturing challenges during ramp and need parts reworked.
This is going to be a SLOW ramp.
I have owned a Honda Ridgeline, 2022 (new gen) Tundra, and 2 Jeep Wranglers built for offroading with a lot of offroading experience.
I can tell you right now the cybertruck is not going to be good offroad. It's simply too heavy and long (breakover angle). I don't consider these well graded...
I'm a minute one rest 11274 but ordered about 7 hours after receiving my invitation email on 12/19. I ordered 12/19 at like 11:30 pm but it was recorded as 12/20. I wonder how many people got in front of me during that window.
I am in Maine. I've seen one delivery in NY but none in New England...
I anticipate that even after Founders Series production run is done, they will continue to price the truck according to demand.
So maybe they won't make you pay an extra $20k above vehicle price for a package like founders services, but they will raise the base-price of the truck. It's VERY...
I agree with the idea they are not going to improve CT much, especially from a battery / range sentiment. They aren't going to put a 200 kWh battery in this thing. The chemistry improvements might increase kWh by ~5%... or they'd just actually make the pack have fewer cells to save money.
They...
