I could see that being a thing.
Only I'd want the connector to be standard on the vehicle. The last thing I need is some aftermarket installer messing up and breaking the glass.
It might not match a Jeep but I'm not sure my head and heart would continue to work if I tried to drive a Jeep in some of the ways I've seen. I sense that my CT will out perform me so I'll be happy with that.
Now if FSD gets so good that it can take off road trails at the full capacity of what...
Not yet. I wouldn't expect one till at least after the first CTs are getting delivered to customers. They will need to get precise measurements of the shipping CT before they can finalize their product.
Sure, Tesla could do it for less... But the $130 ramp is not part of the tailgate. I'm guessing the tailgate internal ramp would be a bit more than $130.
Yes, I noticed that. I'm surprised that people have started branding chickens. Coming from ranch country, I'm very familiar with branding cattle. But I had not seen chicken branding as a thing. Maybe that is why they have become so difficult to wrangle together to take measurements.
I'd like to see the CT rock crawling and traversing all kinds of major obstacles. Let me see how it does in Moab over solid rock inclines and crazy bowls or other obstacles. How about a desert of sand dunes or along the beach with soft sand. Then head across rocky mountain streams. Up over...
With the tailgate open, I can put in things much longer. 8'? 9'? If it gets much longer than that, it will need to get tied down tight so it doesn't cantilever out the back. And remember to use a red flag on anything more than 4' out the back.
The camera's are wired in yes. But they are under the glass. If the light bar is above the glass there will need to be power to the roof somewhere. Also, if there are going to be other powered options up there, then power would need to be available up there. Seems like induction would be a great...
So we've recently seen the CT off-roading in Baja, at Starbase towing rocket engines, a bit of the crash testing results, cold weather testing in NZ (and Iceland for a video), mudding a bit in CA(?), wowing people in the city, and doing various maneuvers to show of the speed, turning radius...
If you are only comparing trucks: it becomes a trade-off between the frunk and the bed. Looks like the CT trunk is a bit smaller than the Lightning or Silverado but the CT bed is larger.
Personally, I like the larger bed. It won't be often that I need to put a person in the frunk. The bed will...
Wait... The tinny is made of aluminum instead of SS. Does that make a difference?
Maybe someone needs to do one of these shows with various "vehicles".
