  5. Cybertruck Delivery DELAYS -- mine is pending, missing parts in Austin

12/22 colorado. I haven't paid full price yet, but see delay as a positive for me. I do not want a pos. Get the CT right before sending it to me please. And make sure it, under perfect conditions, can get the 340mile real world range at least once.
  6. Tesla will change Foundation Series order to Non-FS without penalty (YMMV)

I called to request this downgrade (pre-VIN#), mostly to delay until the 4860 V2 or v3 battery packs are proven, my customer service rep did not know about this and is trying to look into it and get back to me.
  7. Positive Range Report: 1000+ miles @ 280 miles average range, 440Wh/mi consumption - Houston, TX

I agree lets take the emotion out ofbit and use math. A positive range test > EPA*. A negative range test < EPA*. What does it take to beat the EPA* range estimate? Has anyone done better than -13%?
  8. 10,000+ Miles Driving a Cybertruck – Things learned: range, great sound and full love/hate list after 10k miles

Ass hauler, we have highways rated at 55mph and no one is required to go 70mph. The advantage of a highway test , at whatever speed may obtain 385Wh/mi, is that it removes the energy consumption of repeated acell and decell of stop and go traffic. I agree no one needs the 319 mile range for...
  9. 10,000+ Miles Driving a Cybertruck – Things learned: range, great sound and full love/hate list after 10k miles

FYI I am not a newbie, I have owned multiple teslas and used them has my primary vehicle, including significant long distance super charging trips, since 2016 (over 7 years). I am also a hydraulic engineer with a degree in physics that included significant E&M theory and application. I started...
  10. 10,000+ Miles Driving a Cybertruck – Things learned: range, great sound and full love/hate list after 10k miles

I am anxiously awaiting a real-world test that shows the Cybertruck can get close to 385Wh/mi on the highway. This would equal the 319 mile range and my understanding is the EPA estimate. So far no range test has come anywhere close to this estimate. I have not even seen 450Wh/mi which would...
  11. Getting cold feet. Vin Assigned, pickup anyday. What to do?

Cold feet here too. 100% based on the poor range reports. I am expecting delivery in a month and would loose $1000 if i cancel, but i figure save $9000 to wait.
  12. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

Yes CT towing, stop every 50 miles to fill up is reality. I hope that lake or camp site or job site is not 40 miles away from a charger.
  13. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

The the 123 kw battery = a 13 gallon fuel tank. Check my math. https://epact.energy.gov/fuel-conversion-factors Assuming ev 95% effeciency 10% battery reserve and diesel 25% effecient. Imagine buying an f250 with a 13 gallon fuel tank. Stupid.
  14. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

Good question, hopefully they make pull through or we will have to dismount the trailer. But since the superchargers on the highways are 100miles apart on average and by design, the CT may not make it. As a tesla owner, you will find it most reasonable to charge at home unless you are traveling

  16. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

This unacceptable range is bothering me alot. I am expecting delivery in a month and considering eating the $1000 and getting out. That much torque and hp should not result in 87 miles of range.
