not that I was counting but…12 days. I checked on Monday and my truck was still in Austin. The guy said it showed a rough delivery to SC on the 8th but doubted it would make it on time. Seems it made it.
And…I just got the text to schedule for delivery! Picking up tomorrow morning at Upland! Not many times to choose from over the 3 days. I took the first one that was available.
i noticed alot of people posting VINS around 330 PM PST. I checked for mine at 345 and found it. Didn’t have it before 3. Just my observation and experience.
Im hoping it’s just them not having room to accept more vehicles with the recall backlog. I did see a bunch of trucks being delivered when I was at the SC yesterday.
Any updates out there?
I called Friday and was told to expect by the 9th. Yesterday, I asked someone at another SC if they could check and was told the truck is still pinging in Austin but with a date of the 8th.
There’s been a few deliveries to SoCal and I was told to expect delivery around the 9th. Seems like catch up to other states but I can’t imagine CA vins are paused. Hoping we see jf64k get his in the next few days. 51-53 days seems pretty average.
Sadly, that’s expected. I’ve heard a few stories on here of people saying they’re told when they’d get a VIN…seems kinda sketchy. It’ll happen just never ever soon enough.
thank you!!
Just provide your registration details (the first tab). Don’t need to enter, and probably shouldn’t, anything with trade in, insurance or financing. It won’t move anything faster and isn’t required until you receive a VIN. Also, trade in and financing will expire 30-60 days. So best wait until...
Hey, yeah that’s always there. Sitting there. Taunting you. Reminding you that you don’t have a VIN
I’ve had a VIN for 7 days and was told on the phone to expect delivery on the 9th. If not for this forum and the amazing VIN tracker site, I would have no idea how long to expect for anything.
Traded in 3 cars with Tesla over the years with most recently being this past week. They’ve always waited to provide an offer after VIN was assigned. However, they have reached out when needing more info-like better photos. The offer expires in 30 days (my app shows an expiration of May 29)...
I’m not in your area, but my fast track has a similar box. When I registered my X, they said it could not have a box as it would not be picked up by their sensors—something to do with the windshield glass and the electronics.
Instead, they sent me a clear sticker to be placed on my headlight...
That should be all you need. If you have a trade in, you can put that info in—they won’t give you an offer until after your VIN is assigned. Do not apply for financing until you have a VIN. It will most likely expire before you accept delivery. If you do Tesla financing, they give you an offer...
