The Donut Labs announcement sounds almost too good to be true: 400 Wh/kg, a full charge in five minutes and virtually no degradation. It would be amazing if those claims hold up, but I’m keeping my expectations in check since we’ve seen lots of battery hype before, and Donut is still a very...
I had the same exact issue everyone here is describing.
I took it in for service and made sure to note the problem clearly. I also went on a test drive with the tech — he sat in the back seat and immediately saw what was happening. After that, he brought it back in and explained the fix.
The...
I just purchased my Cybertruck and also ordered the Tesla Gateway so I can use the CT as a whole-home backup / generator.
The list price for the Gateway is available online. I haven’t installed it yet—I’m waiting for my electrician—but I’ve already gone through the planning and site walk...
I just had this happen to my CT today i have 4000miles. It happen right after i left a supercharger. Oddly the alert went away on my next stop. But, if i go into the service menu it shows the left motor in red. I have service setup also among a bunch of other items.
I have a silicone cover on my mini which is on the dash it is nicer to blend with the dash and does help with the reflection. When I had no cover just saw a white blob on the right of the window. I just don’t like it. Was distracting,
hope that helps.
Most of the charges have so much plastic which is not needed. Thinking get those battery plug from Amazon and mount that on the top of the box. And then break open the charger and make a panel for behind the plastic in the CT along with the invert and such off the 48v.
that’s what I’m thinking...
Love it! I also run in eth mode on the starlink and let the router handle all the connections. I also have Speedify running on the router to add additional functionality with other cellphones.
What that also does is tricks the cellphone tower that I’m not running on hotspot. So I save bandwidth...
Thanks for the insight this is the first time I have a frunk. So trying to utilize it as my general tool area to grab and go. I normally had all my general hand tools inside the cab so they don’t get rusty up as the bed seem to get a little moisture. I used the packout draws for the bed and that...
Do you know how much it weighs dry?
The tool box looks super premium and I love that the frunk can be used like how you describe. Right now I’ve been running with the tools in Milwaukee packout box in the bed. They work well but for the everyday quick action tools the frunk seems to be ideal...
Man some really fun options but man some are pricey. Feel like maybe build one out of wood for now and see how it feels for a while. But that @Our Cyber Weekend is totally premo! Nice work for sure art!
I enjoy all these different discussions. As I use my truck as a mobile office which I use the starlink all day but also have a second cell phone as a hot spot and a 5g sim in a router to load shed everything. I maybe a little over the top.
I watched your video this morning. Thanks for sharing your setup and how you went about it. Give me food for thought on some things on my own setup.
Question on the battery for the starlink does it have anything that you can keep plug in to a power source for long periods of time and not have...
I just picked up mine also a demo and felt the same. Few things inside broken and stain on seats. Which they used a steam cleaner and maybe to hot since I see the marks. They used a power washer and made marks on the plastic items on the exterior. One hand I care other hand I don’t care as it’s...
