Tesla lowers range estimate on Model S, X and Y (due to new EPA calculations)

I vote to put Kyle in charge of all EV range estimates. Think he could make a full-time job out of it.

Possible 10-20% range improvement with 4680 changes

After hearing this news...... may wait for them to get the batteries working right, with some extra range, thank you. So, does this mean that FS Editions might stand for "Flawed Batteries and Short-Range"?

Why can’t i sit in it!!!!???

Cybertruck Highway Range Test (Dual-Motor AWD) -- Run Until Battery Empty (by Out Of Spec)

Yeah, I still want one too! I'll just be plugging it in every (or every other) night. But most of us probably have no problem with that, or we plug in every day anyways. It's only an issue for longer trips. Hopefully everybody who wants one has another vehicle in the family that can do the...

Cybertruck Highway Range Test (Dual-Motor AWD) -- Run Until Battery Empty (by Out Of Spec)

You're not going to get "likely 250 + or - 20 miles between charges". You would have to charge to 100%, which is not recommended. For daily charging 80%, or so, is recommended. With ICE vehicles, like your VW GTI, you just fill up the tank till it's full. Secondly, with electric cars...

Cybertruck Highway Range Test (Dual-Motor AWD) -- Run Until Battery Empty (by Out Of Spec)

Only Tesla we've owned that got close to what they said it was rated at, was our early M3 Long Range. We got about 300 real miles on a full charge, when we needed it. Probably because we didn't have a second motor sucking out all the extra juice. I loved that car!

Cybertruck Highway Range Test (Dual-Motor AWD) -- Run Until Battery Empty (by Out Of Spec)

Good news is you can easily put a gas or diesel generator in the vault and you'll never be totally stranded.

Cybertruck Highway Range Test (Dual-Motor AWD) -- Run Until Battery Empty (by Out Of Spec)

Of course, that's another added aftermarket expense. Between installing PPF, new rims and tires for better range, etc..... it's getting more expensive.....

Cybertruck Highway Range Test (Dual-Motor AWD) -- Run Until Battery Empty (by Out Of Spec)

Might be a lot better with different tires? Seems like the tires it comes with would zap some range off, right? Looks like the type of tires made a pretty big difference with the above Rivian 70 MPG range test....

Cybertruck Highway Range Test (Dual-Motor AWD) -- Run Until Battery Empty (by Out Of Spec)

I kinda figured it would not be anywhere near the claimed 318 Miles. So, at 254 miles of max range, that's about 178 miles of usable range if you set to charge to 80% and then try not to run it down lower than 10%. Wonder how much worse the Cyberbeast will do?

Sub-2% conversion rate on Foundation series

Good question....... I'm a little further down the list than you, at about 200K, and I'll be happy to see some objective reviews first. Unfortunately I also need more time to convince the wife, because she's not sold on the looks yet. She told me (hopefully jokingly) that if I bought one, I'd...

Sub-2% conversion rate on Foundation series

"Limited Edition" = Limited to as many suckers are willing to pay an extra 20K and give up any hope of receiving an additional $7,500 subsidy.

What Are The Real Reasons Cybertrucks Continue To Be Roped Off In Tesla Showrooms?

As I'm not planning to wrap mine when I get it, thinking I may need to invest in getting one of these "red velvet rope-off/pole set" accessory options. Hopefully Tesla will offer it as a premium upgrade. Will store it in the frunk and park strategically in spots where there's plenty of room to...

What Are The Real Reasons Cybertrucks Continue To Be Roped Off In Tesla Showrooms?

They should just put wrapped ones in showrooms if the fingerprints are the main issue. Plus it might sell the factory wrap upgrade.... silly to rope them off.
