Seems really fishy that they claim there is a PCS service bulletin that is only affecting a specific VIN range. Yet I haven't seen a single instance of customers being notified like a normal bulletin. The only conclusion left is that they are trying to dodge the repair under warranty.
It just...
Curious, what was your ~vin range?
Below are the vin ranges i've picked up from other posts on PCS failures. They are saying its only a selective VIN range but they don't know what the range is.

07xxx
11xxx
41xxx
49xxx
also if anyone else has a vin to add please speak up. This might...
tbf I think we have been in a little bit of a lull when it comes to significant FSD updates. I just assumed that it has a lot to do with them ramping up robotaxi production and deployment.
Yea when I asked they told me there was a service bulletin too but my truck wasn't included. They didn't say f it was VIN based or not but mine definitely sits in the VIN range of many that have had it fail.
People really need to stop taking what grok says as gospel. I use grok all the time but jfc it will tell you absurd lies and completely make things up.
I recently went in for a sticking/crooked tonneau cover and a faulty outlet sensor but they are trying to tack on another apt for the cant rail replacement. Mine seem solid and I remember some of you... not being too happy with the results of that swap. Have any of you done this recently with...
IIRC it is inconsistent. There was one guy who was told by the SC that supercharging would work but it failed after heading over to one to try it. Not sure how many others have tested it though vs just driving over and dropping it off.
hahah the warranty is one thing but... i'm planning a starbase trip later this year... imagine being down in the boonies and not being able to charge.... with a car full of people that are new to teslas.
Yea, only thing I can think of is to post under the @Cybertruck and @Tesla accounts on X. I hate to do it because I like Tesla but when it comes to customer service for any company... they typically only respond when the feedback creates bad optics for the company. They aren't going to willingly...
i didnt go through every page here but this is a pretty big spread for VINs

They told me that VINs were flagged and that mine was not, yet im 46xxx
I think they are full of shit when they say they have specific VINs that are flagged. I'm 463XX. They are just hoping most will coast through warranty.
FYI, I put in a service request to ask about them preemptively replacing PCS modules for early adopters. Since it seems like one user reported them proactively doing it for them without asking for it + all the other issues.
I asked considering the increasing amount of failures with earlier...
I'm glad i'm mostly low mileage sitting at ~8-9k after a little over a year... but the fact that the PCS could fail mid road trip (regardless if its covered or not) is definitely concerning.
So are most of you able to charge at a slower rate? Any of you ending up unable to charge? This would really suck while 500+ miles away from home on a road trip.
Post about it on X. Not sure what else to say. The last thing they probably want is people pointing out failures like this for potential customers to see.
Tag Wes/Elon on X and raise the issue. Don't be a karen about it but mentioning it will help get attention on it. $6000 is a lot of money to have to fork out for this after already paying 80-100k for a truck.
Even if its free under warranty, I don't think anyone wants to head out on a road trip...
I haven't experienced FSD riding anyone's ass tbh but what does drive me nuts is the continued sluggishness, it not updating its speed holds when the speed limit changes (stays 45 when its now in a 55 / a nudge fixes it every time), and general ridiculous mapping.
Anyone else seeing U-turns completely break these past few patches? I have 3 separate u-turns that get mapped and it just turns into the side street rather than following the mapping. Come to think of it, it hasn't completed a U-turn yet.
