TyPope I got no idea on the battery size you say the Mavrick has so not going to disagree as I do not know. I sure don't have any idea on how long it lasts mileage wise on electric only as never tried to run it down. I just know with my driving I never get any warning on low battery power or...
I still do not get why many of you are so focus on this EV vs Ice gas cost. There is so much more that goes into the equation than just Electric cost and gas/diesel cost. There is maintenance costs, what you prefer to drive, recalls if any is a issue also for some. How easy is it to get...
I do not think you all understand at least the school bus question fully. I get the point A to point B but if a school bus has to pick up say 30-45 students on it's run than you have to have someone somewhere program in stop 1, 2, 3, 4, etc and may be a large total. Then there is the how long...
Not sure if this is even the right sub area but here it goes and another question specifically for you heavy FSD users and die hard users.
So I assume the ultimate goal is to have FSD in all vehicles.
How would FSD work in a school bus that stops to pick up and drop off children?
How would...
I do not care if it is digital or analog AM. Just seems like it would be possible and yes I still do at times listen to AM radio. Mostly I tune into the local collage Non profit station on the FM dial.
Thanks for the link YDR37......
Again if you like ICE vehicles fine, if you like EV vehicles fine also. In our case the FSD feature is a non issue as we just do not do that much driving anymore and what we do is just easy drive places 15-20 minutes away. The only real long trip we do is to visit the grandson in Houston...
Never knew about the EV and AM radio issue. Sort of stinks as I am sure a AM/FM radio tab or link or whatever you call it on your screen should not be hard to do and make it work clearly. I am sure it came down to $$$ in production.
Seems like a cheap cop out whether it is a Tesla or Ford...
I just do not get why many Tesla and CT's owners even worry or look at gas prices. FYI it is $2.23 at the local QT station this morning for me in Central Texas.
As I have said before, my Maverick Hybrid gets 48-52 MPG and I fill up each week for about $10-12. From the logs I can look at...
I do not get the point of this as you will have to charge the CT back up be it 10-25% used to go back to the grid.
So not sure it is worth the time/trouble for what you may get from the grid operator and then have to pay to charge your CT back up. I guess if you got unlimited free super...
My curious question is how does it get it fixed if something needs being done that is beyond a minor issue? Are there any Service Centers in Russia at all? What if the PCS goes out in a year or drive motor.
Glad he is enjoying it and the pictures looks great.
I am truly glad he had a CT person help him get out.
I guess my old age is showing and the things I have learned over the years. Yes I am way more cautious now then I was when I was younger.
The CT is a very good truck and super strong and it is just what this person needed to help...
65SoYoLo I am not saying I am afraid as in my younger years I towed many a large trailer and heavy stuff with my Ram 1 ton and tow packages I had on it. But as the years have gone by I learned to think things out a bit more and the exit outcome. I am just saying they were not smart with that...
Thank you CT owner for doing that.
But also that F350 person/family should have not even been in that situation. With that load and trailer size they were asking for issues in sand like that.
Just glad they got out with the help of a CT and maybe they will be more cautious in the future when...
I do not try and cause trouble you should now that HaulingAss. Was a question I had with the weather we are having now in Texas and the US. I do try and look up info first and that is why I knew that if a camera(s) stopped working FSD would disengage.
I was just wondering about Robotaxi's...
Thank you for the responses and glad to hear you did not have a hard time in Buffalo MetroWestMA.
I am sure the CT can handle the snow pretty well just was wondering if FSD is still really reliable with the slush and road salt or brine getting on the camera's.
That is why I am not sure about...
OK time for another question I am curious about and cannot find the answer looking.
I know that FSD relies on the camera's working to run and if one or more cannot function right FSD will not work and you have to take over driving.
I know the robotaxi they are testing here in the Austin area...
All I can say is you are playing with fire when you do this if you wanted to use FSD.
I assume FSD uses all camera's as input for working correctly and now you just made it a bit less safe as you stopped using the back camera. So any input on what is going on behind you that may pose a issue...
Maybe it was a bad tire batch and you just got the unlucky draw for 2 of them. Or like you said something is really going on with the rear drives and causing premature wear.
But that is just not normal even for cheap tires after the few miles you put on them.
