  1. V3 Gateway Vs $700 Shop Credit Vs 6-months free super charging

If you want this to pay itself back, then don't get it. This is an emergency back-up only. Many people buy gas generators well over $12,000 installed for back-up. This type of system will never "pay itself back." It is a thing of convenience only. This is what Powershare is as well. It will also...
  2. 10 day review after 900 miles in my Cybertruck

Update after 2.5 months. I have 4799 miles at 401 Wh/mi with 95% of mileage on highways at 70 mph +/- 10 mph. With the way we drive our vehicles, this number probably won't change much. I had a friend ask about the range with towing as a gotcha moment. He also owns a truck. I asked him how...
  3. Sadly the FUD is winning.

I now have to give every person that talks to me about a recall a lecture. No, they are not taking my vehicle back. Around 400 vehicle recalls are done every year and last year 33 million plus vehicles had recalls. No one else cares about the 33 million vehicles that had recalls unless they were...
  4. V3 Gateway Vs $700 Shop Credit Vs 6-months free super charging

V2L is just for powering something like an appliance off of a car. Believe it is just 16 amp. This is just a temporary thing before most cars do V2H. V2H is just Ford Lightening, Tesla Cybertruck, Nissan Leaf, and I believe the Kia EV9 and Rvian R1 has the hardware onboard to do V2H. Good luck...
  5. V3 Gateway Vs $700 Shop Credit Vs 6-months free super charging

Have you priced other bi-directional hardware and installation costs? The Ford Lightening installation and hardware starts almost at $10,000. The hardware alone is almost $5500 and it only 9.6 kW, compared to Tesla's 11.5 kW. The Quasar units are super expensive and you can't use any generic...
  6. Gateway and Wall Connector Question

I just got mine installed, it was $4186 for one of the easiest installations you could have. They did arrive at 8 AM and stayed until 4 PM. They said it was only the third installation they did, so maybe they will increase their speed as they do more. Tesla doesn't just pick the electricians...
  7. Revisiting "To Wrap or not to Wrap."

10 lbs at most with PPF. A toolbox would impact range more. I am most likely getting mine wrapped Obsidian Red. It is a common PPF color and we decided on it about 2 months ago. Saw a few getting wrapped this color recently.
  8. What are teenagers problems with Cybertruck?

People click on articles and videos which have titles and content that is focused around negativity and people want it. Even if the information is not true, it is accepted without critical thought. Until our society changes, which is won't, this type of information will be produced for likes. I...
  9. Powershare (charger/gateway) returned to Tesla if not installed

The company that contacted me is getting it in writing from PG&E before I commit. I told them that the only way I will install is if I keep NEM 2. They know how much profit they are making off of me, so they are more than willing to do this. I will let you know soon!
  10. California Delivery date RUSHED

Could be a buyer backed out and you got their VIN. Make sure to inspect the vehicle fully!
  11. Powershare (charger/gateway) returned to Tesla if not installed

I believe so, but PG&E can do what they want. :p For electricity for EV charging has tripled in the last 5 years. $0.12 per kWh to almost $0.36 cents. Just need some confirmation.
  12. Powershare (charger/gateway) returned to Tesla if not installed

I should have one of the simplest installations and it is $4186. Ridiculous! I am trying to figure out if I can stay on NEM2 with PG&E with this. For $4200 I want this in writing from the installer and also from PG&E. If I go to NEM3, it would be a nightmare.
  13. Buyer's remorse due to all the attention Cybertruck attracts?

I think I could drive a Bugatti and feel like I disappear on the roads after driving the Cybertruck for 2 weeks. If I don't want the attention, I just drive my M3 or MYP. My wife is excited for these days because she wants to drive the Cybertruck every day.
  14. Total Cap on Foundation Series?

I think that the FS is the 2024 model and it will be gone in 2025. If I had to guess a number it would either be 42,069 or 69,420.
  15. Motortrend Review: 2024 Cybertruck Dual Motor First Drive: Hype Machine or the Real Deal?

It is really not as bad as people make it seem. In places where you need extra sight, just use the front camera, which is really nice. With the Cybertruck you have cameras all around your car that you can monitor, two rear view mirrors as back up, red lights for warnings by the side speakers...
  16. Don't worry about lower ranges your first few charging cycles! Estimated range will increase

I drive with traffic. If I am buy myself I stay within 7 mph of the speed limit. If traffic is going 80 mph plus, I will go with that.
  17. 10 day review after 900 miles in my Cybertruck

I can't stand the left or right in this country right now. :p This is my political stance and hopefully it is the stance of most people right now. We hear the extremes on both sides, which are very vocal online and full of hatred, but in reality I think more people are more moderate and...
  18. Don't worry about lower ranges your first few charging cycles! Estimated range will increase

The first time I charged to 80% I got 234 miles, which corresponds to 293 miles. This worried me since it was supposed to be 318 miles with the AT tires. The second charge was 240 miles, then it got up to 245. I then charged to 100% and got 307 to see what was happening. Charged again to 100%...
  19. My turn for Critical Error, week 2

One of those posters came here specifically to inform us. No other posts. If something goes wrong, you have a higher tendency to post about it on a forum or on social media. If things are working without issue, you tend to not inform people. It sucks to see even one, but there are many of us...
