Buying the FS CT Isn't Logical

If you can afford it and your wife won't divorce you go for it, but like pretty much all vehicles, it is not a good investment and will definitely depreciate.

Would you buy the Cybertruck if your number came up in the next month?

I am just behind this guy as my reservation order is 11287xxxx and doing the math, I am 126 k in the queue, so if there are only 1000 FS being offered than their conversion rate is less than 1%. As you said, these are the most rabid CT fans, so what will be the conversion rate for the rest of...

Would you buy the Cybertruck if your number came up in the next month?

I guess with 1-2 million reserrvations they can't afford to like Rivian did, plus Rivian was a start-up and couldn't afford the PR damage, guess tesla doesn't care.

Buying the FS CT Isn't Logical

Sounds like another lawsuit in the making.

Buying the FS CT Isn't Logical

yes, I stand corrected, but I still wonder if the 3.0 hardware version will work with FSD when it is finalized, whenever that will be.

Buying the FS CT Isn't Logical

Yeah, I had to drive on zero a couple of times and once I had to phone a private ski resort and they let me use their level two charger to get home. After that, especially in the winter, when I was charging I would make sure I had at lest 20% charge at my destination and when I got there it...

Buying the FS CT Isn't Logical

I have the 23 k model 3 made which was RWD (I wish I had AWD for driving in snow and ice but it wasn't available) and is long range. There was no white interior, only black and the cellular connection was free for life. It also has radar, ultrasonic sensors and the 2170 batteries which I feel...

Buying the FS CT Isn't Logical

I got one of the early M3 in 2018, which isn't the same as a true early adopter who got a roadster or an early MS, but I still feel like an early adopter as the M3 was the vehicle that brought Tesla and BEV's into the public eye with the vision of mass adoption of EV's and the chance to change...

01/18/24 - Foundation Invite Received - New York

Wow they are a long way down the queue, I am 11287xxxx and I figured I was around 126 k in the queue. I am in Canada and there isn't even pricing for the CT on the Canadian website- has anyone received a FS offer in Canada. I see that they have had a CT in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal.

Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

You sound like a broken record. The forum is for people to offer their different opinions, and discuss it with civility. Why don't you get off the forum (since you only joined it less than a month ago)

Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

I always thought that tesla had an advantage. The 4680 has been very disappointing as are the specs for the CT. The ev market seems wide open for anyone with a reasonably priced ev truck with range and towing capacity. It will probably take at least a couple of years, but you can count on the...

Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

In 2025 they will be equipped to use tesla superchargers as well.

Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

I was right the first time- rich people and city dwellers. If you have the money to waste- go for it! I will keep my 2009 silverado until someone comes up with a better ev option, perhps the 400 mile silverado ev.

Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

I have been a tesla bull since 2016, owning stock since 2016 and a m3 since 2018. IMO it is very harmful for fanboys to attack anyone who trying to present a balanced argument as a tesla hater. Perhaps this is just a result of a fragmented society and the effects social media. The worst...

Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

Elon marketed the CT as a work truck and most people who use it for work are towing something (I have 5 different trailers). Until the price and range (towing) improve, it will be an expensive celebrity truck for rich people and city dwellers.

Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

personally I don't believe in shorting because it carries unlimited risk if the stock goes up. But as a tesla bull since 2016, I am sick of seeing my portfolio go up and down with tesla stock, so I sold 1/2 of my tesla shares and bought some puts so as tesla is dropping, my portfolio stays...

Sandy Munro gets his Christmas Wish for 2 Cybertrucks fullfilled

I wonder where sandy was in the queue or did they push it to him because he is an influencer? If he somehow jumped the queue or has moved up the queue, does this say anything about the rate of fs refusals? Also, are these fs and is this the first non-fs that we are seeing?

    Foundation Series Remorse

Long term I agree that tesla will probably be a winner especially over the OEMs except maybe toyota and honda, however in the short term (6 months to a year) IMO it is going to be a tough slug.

    Foundation Series Remorse

I have been a tesla bull since 2016, owning stock since 2016 and a M3 since 2018. Unfortunately, tesla is looking more and more like a car company with a p/e of a tech company.
