I just got rid of a bunch of water spots this weekend. I scrubbed my truck down with BKF and it now looks perfect. The key to a great result is using a WET blue Scotch Brite pad to put the BKF on. Then, let it dry completely and take it off with windex followed by Sprayway and then water...
I had a generator interlock installed. This is what prevents you from back-feeding into the grid. Google will show you pictures of one. Then, you run a massive cord from the 240 in the truck to your panel. I tested mine today and it worked great and cost me less than $2000. You need...
I have it and enjoy it. Here's what I like about it:
1. It tracks your battery degradation over time and shows you where you are relative to others who own the same model.
2. Better energy use stats than Tesla native app, making it nice to accurately calculate cost per mile.
3. As noted...
I found another glitch related to lane departure. If you trigger it, your blind spot detection lights quit working until you reset them by putting the car in park. Even a reset doesn’t clear this issue.
I bought a membership at a new carwash near my house. It has been great. Super easy to keep this truck clean and I don't worry about door dings or dirt.
Thanks for this. I have one that is loosening up so I'm going to give it a try. I have an appointment at Kennesaw in October. From other comments in this thread, it doesn't sound like they will help me.
So I got a pretty big rock ding in the lower part of my housing. Unfortunately that is considered part of the mirror assembly which is pretty pricey. I’ve taken it apart and it’s really just the same thing as the upper housing. If anyone sees anything like this aftermarket, let me know.
I tried the waterless spray and shine and I have to say it's pretty good. My truck is pretty clean right now, but I was able to get out a couple longstanding spots. It is definitely streak free and it doesn't take much at all.
I had a little bit of a shipping damage issue and the company...
My quote from QMerit was north of $11,000. Like the OP, I have a 200 amp panel right next to my truck. I think this was just a money grab. But, I went with the generator interlock for less than $2000 and used my $2500 credit for other stuff.
If you go to the software tab, it will check for a new update. You will see "checking for update". Be warned, however, that once you do this, it won't check for another 24 hours. If you go check and you haven't been chosen yet, you are out of luck until tomorrow.
