Enclosed Car Trailer - Aerovault vs JimGLo

It's all in the speed you drive. Stay below 60 and you maximize range. Be a speed demon and you'll be stopping to recharge more times than you need to go pee.

500 Miles on my Cyber Truck. 400 of them towing a car. Do I need a weight distribution hitch?

Check out what Andy has to say and believe it what ever he says. This guys got more math and experience towing that all of us put together. He knows what he's talking about. Hitches, Towing, you name it when it comes to hooking up a trailer to a decent tow vehicle and no, he doesn't go down the...

    Towing my boat 400 miles.

Autopilot/TACC - Lane keeping??? To be honest I don't remember from last summer and were still kinda in Winter here in Central PA so I haven't been out yet. The snow just finally went bye bye last week and it is now in the 60's for two days before it turns cold again. Dang Groundhog and his...

    Towing my boat 400 miles.

Speed is going to be your most detractor of Watts/Mile. I tow an Airstream Basecamp 20 trailer that clocks in around 4,000 lbs. I set Autopilot speed at between 55 and 60. When I start out with a Supercharger as my destination it generally shows me that I'm going to pull in with negative charge...

Carrying a Few Things on the Floor Behind the Drivers Seat

Forget the hard containers for the back seat. They just aren't flexible enough. Do a search on Amazon for "rope baskets for storage" These baskets are GREAT, lightweight, flexible, and fit right UNDER the seat if you need them out of the way. Yes, some of them are a bit taller than the space...

The Cost of Installing a Level II Charger at Home

All,I recently had a PCS failure and I have been charging my CT @ home from a Wall Connector capable of 48 amp charging but running it @ 24 amps. Since SEP 2024 when I picked up the CT I throttled back the AC Charging amps to 24 amps vs 48 amps. I did this to less the draw through the Wall...

    Max Trailering Question

Sure would like to see pics of everything hooked up. Wide angle and some closeups of hitch setup. Make sure your receiver is within the weight limits of the load. Some aluminum receivers look nice and are light weight BUT are limited in the load they will bear. Some people don't catch that...

The Cost of Installing a Level II Charger at Home

For your sake and safety pull the cover panel off your breaker box and read the actual wire/cable size on the wire/cable jacket. Inquiring minds want to know. If it is just a 12 gauge wire STOP USING it for risk of fire and get a real electrician in there to correct the error before you run...

The Cost of Installing a Level II Charger at Home

Your WAY undersized on your cable. You said 12 gauge where it should be a minimum of 6/2. You could have saved the conduit by going with 6/2 MC. Also never use Romex cable to Wall Connectors. Also for others reading this you should wire direct from the breaker panel to the Wall Connector. No...

My sadness cannot be measured - Powertrain Problems

Isn't it a hassle to go around and connect all the tires together and then to the compressor to just pump up all the tires at once rather than just stopping at each tire and pumping it up singly. With my pump you set the pressure and when it gets there it stops. Then you move onto the next tire...

My sadness cannot be measured - Powertrain Problems

CyberGus I believe the PCS doesn't come into play during DC fast charging like from a supercharger but rather from an AC charger like your wall connector. I believe you have 2 of these PCS units in the CT, one for each side (L1 & L2) of the 240 AC circuit. When one fails you are generally...

My sadness cannot be measured - Powertrain Problems

I believe the engineers take into account the added pressure of the tire when going from "room temperature" to on-the-road inflation pressure increase when they recommend the COLD inflation tire pressure. As long as my tires have been idle for a few hours I target the recommended COLD inflation...

Just ordered a 2026 Cyberbeast, what am I in for?

I would recommend you get 2 jacks for the CT. It's a very heavy vehicle and if you want to pick up one whole side (and you will want to do that) it will be safer with 2 jacks. You've got time. Watch the sales and step up when they hit. 3 ton minimum. Low profile doesn't really matter with a CT.

Foundation purchasers that did NOT get lifetime free supercharging and connectivity

If you look back at the first release of the FS and the credits that the customer got after purchasing you wonder really who the heck was running the show???? Credit to purchase from the TESLA Store only could be used on a SINGLE ORDER! What was it $2,000 AND THE MAJORITY of items were OUT OF...

Foundation purchasers that did NOT get lifetime free supercharging and connectivity

We all know what would have happened to Sales of the CT if Tesla had publicized their "Free Supercharging for Life" pricing in mid to late 2024. Sales of the CT would have TANKED until the added benefits kicked in. They held it under wraps until they sucked all the sales they could and then...

Foundation purchasers that did NOT get lifetime free supercharging and connectivity

I'm in the camp of Tesla SHOULD offer Foundation Series purchasers the ability to either get supercharging FREE -or- the ability to purchase it for a one time charge. We paid the extra premium for the foundation series. We were the original buyers that made the world take note of this new...
