Yes, i am with you. tougue weight is not vertical load limit but they are related. The connection between them is the torque. More allowed tougue weight means more allowed torque, which means more vertical load limit. MY has the tougue weight of 350 lb with 160 lb vertical weight limit, it is...

i don't even believe model y can only stand 160 lb tougue weight to start with. for it can only stand a skinny male adult body weight at the hitch ball is rediculous.

I really don't think there should have the difference between vertical weight limit and tougue weight limit from the basic physics standpoint.
