Picked up my truck yesterday!! Surreal.
For the record, I never had a Delivery Advisor contact me. For whatever reason that process has a lot of room for optimizing.
With my truck my VIN was assigned the same day that the sticker on my truck states as the day of manufacture (4/10/24). I’m also in Utah, and yes they do have a lot of undelivered trucks for whatever reason with VINs from 3xxx up to 78xx (at least as of Monday). I went there looking for my VIN...
So I stopped in on our way back from St George this afternoon. My truck was in the same spot as Monday and looked the same (not detailed yet). I vacillated on bugging the reps inside, but we live a couple hours away, and I decided it probably wouldn’t hurt. Long story short, they were super nice...
I counted 14 in the “secret lots” and 19 in the service center lot. VINs all over the place, as low as 3xxx and up to 78xx. I don’t think I saw 7724, but my wife was patiently waiting while I ran around like a little kid counting trucks and reading VINs.
I did find mine!!! My VIN assignment date...
Can you give any hints where the secret lot is? We’re going to be driving through this evening on the way to St George. I’m hoping to see a reason I need to get back soon :)
Yeah, I hadn’t thought about the large surface area of that plastic sled. I think I’ve been focusing on that extra clearance of “extract mode”. But if you get the Cybertruck high centered it’s gonna be some fun getting it back down. Maxtrax or a winch are going to be more fun than a shovel.
Any idea what the underbody clearance is on the Defender? That looked like the definition of high centered :). Cybertruck looked great! Nice beach shots too!
Love the digital rearview, the fold down midgate, and the heads-up display. But range test? More like a demo drive. Speed/air-resistance is a HUGE factor in range. Every time they show the speedometer it was in the 50's. While driving downhill.
I didn’t mean to touch a nerve. Kyle’s driven his Cybertruck thousands of miles more than most of us, but he sure seems to (apparently) rub some people the wrong way ?
I don’t know if anyone has been watching the marathon that is the Out of Spec cross country race series on YouTube, but Kyle has said a few times how ineffective the brakes feel when regen is not working well. I am not yet the proud owner of a Cybertruck/have not driven a Cybertruck but I wonder...
