Eh, I appreciate Rivian, and think their vehicles are.... cute. But the utility of the CT well outpaces the R1T in pretty much every category, including the machismo that comes with having a truck.
IMO the R1T fills a very specific and narrow niche, which benefits from smaller size and posh...
My dad lives in the country and they barely got high speed internet a few years ago. Not sure about pricing, but Starlink is a godsend for rural people.
My dreams are coming true. Considering housing costs and loan rates, buying a 5th wheel with CT and Starlink, and living down by the river seems like a viable hedge until the housing market settles down.

If it's steer by wire, presumptuously you could change the location of the steering wheel, right? Like, it doesn't have to be in front of the driver's seat? For instance it could be on a control panel like an RC car?
