Fair point.. But gravity works best for you rather than against you, therefor a pile of snow built up on the screen at rest would fall when pushed... since there is no aforementioned cowl/trough for the snow to pack into which is the root cause of troublesome snow on the windshield.. just like...

Every ‘car’ is a compromise.. I believe drag won this fight. Especially when there is no ‘cowl/water trough’ and it just looks cool’er in the vertical position..

Airbag deployment for a front center seat may be quite difficult. not impossible, just not easy. You can have your screen, but eat it too.

That could be just the light refracted through the edge of the mirror glass.. possibly its a tree
