and, another day. :D
One thing i did notice for NY... If i go backwards up the list from lowest res # to mine for dual motor units, i notice i am the only person in the list posting on this forum....
sooo... tragic optimism, perhaps these other folks below me already have VINs, and just have...
I am really hoping this is the case.
Perhaps the VIN is assigned to the customer at the factory as it has been, but they are delaying the email alert to the customer and when it shows in the Tesla app.
This would probably be a win/win for Tesla and the customer if they did it this way.
-Quick...
hmmm interesting. Personally, I'm definitely going to buy some Tesla vehicle regardless. In my case it doesn't need to be a truck. We shall see how my extremely arbitrary do or die date of 4/8 works out... then maybe i'll go from there.
Hmm I may ask about that option. If the credit to another vehicle thing is possible, I think I'll give Tesla until April 8th, and if no VIN by that date, I may buy a Model 3 instead.
80 days here. To me, this FS thing is really becoming less and less special with every day that passes. At this point, if i could go back to order day, I'd probably pass and just wait for regular units later this year or early next.
Hmm maybe they changed or added a delay to when the VIN gets attached to a Tesla account and shows in the app.
I am just finding it difficult to believe with all the production this week, how there could be so little activity for vin assignments for people on this forum and on X.
Hmmm, yet VIN assignment is incredibly weak...
I wonder if they are changing how VINs are assigned or something ... maybe they want to stage a bunch of them at delivery centers and then have them assigned there for quick vin to delivery...
I don't buy the weather region delivery theory. If this was a thing, they simply would have delayed FS invites to folks in the colder states and set those delivery estimates to be closer to spring. Additionally, they barely have delivered any units to states surrounding TX which are equally as...
The order of operations is:
By activated state
By accelerated delivery (referral & shareholder folks).
By res # (mostly RN1127x currently)
For instance:
A person in NY who has no accelerated delivery in RN1128x, is not even on the radar at the moment it seems. In TX & CA, they are well into...
yeah, thinking the same. With this, perhaps the somewhat good news is that the units produced this week are now more likely to be distributed more widely throughout the US. ?
