Insurance goes with the vehicle. It would be on the owners insurance. The dude that was driving, his insurance would deny. The owners would also deny once they found out what shenanigans were in play. He ‘could’ say he was loaning it to him, permissive use is what that would be considered, but...

Had this issue too a while back. Added it to a service appointment that I already had scheduled for something else, they confirmed. Said they notified their engineers or whatever and suggested I set them to auto until there is a fix. When they’re on auto, they will turn off when you exit the truck.

Honestly.. To rent it out and have a fun toy that others pay for. It’s working out quite nicely ??

In central CA, hit 106 today. CT chillin in the driveway no cover just the cabin overheat protection on. Windshield holding up, for now (knocks on wood). Will report back if anything happens
