Full size spare should fit on top of the range extender in the vault

HaulingAss- Not sure what UP’s measurements are for the departure angle at the tire but this is their specs for the bumper( shown without the optional Spare Tire Carrier Swing out). If it’s anything like the spare tire carrier I fabricated for my Suburban 2500. I always scrape the hitch before...

Unplugged Performance also has a Rear Bumper Spare Tire Carrier that also boasts a higher departure angle and skid plate over stock.

Full size spare should fit on top of the range extender in the vault

Check out the stuff over at Unplugged Performance. I’m going to be getting a lot of my Offroad/Overlanding gear from them. They said it’s modular and can be built around the Range Extender. You could probably configure it to slide a spare tire under there, basically keeping the full utility of...

Range extender how useful is it really?? cost vs time savings..... Definitely not worth it to most

Woodrick, if you have to ask why I don’t ride my bike the whole way; I guess you don’t go deep into the backcountry, set up a base camp and go further into the backcountry on two wheels then do you, and please the comment about the Range extender messing up the weight distribution on this truck...

Range extender how useful is it really?? cost vs time savings..... Definitely not worth it to most

Sounds like many CyberTruck reservation holders on this forum would be better suited for a lifestyle “RoadTrip Car” like these Kei Trucks for $5000 rather than a Cyber”Truck”. https://www.businessinsider.com/ev-start-ups-japense-kei-trucks-compact-vehicles-are-in-2023-6?op=1

Range extender how useful is it really?? cost vs time savings..... Definitely not worth it to most

Unfortunately, the Cyber Truck is a Truck and not a “Road trip car”. People like myself buy Trucks for for the full utility of the Truck Bed like carrying motorcycles on long trips into the backcountry, camping and overlanding. C’mon Elon?! You mean you couldn’t make the Range Extender drop into...

Range extender how useful is it really?? cost vs time savings..... Definitely not worth it to most

Does anyone know the Physical Specs of the Range Extender? Is it really going to occupy 1/3 of the bed, rendering the utility of the bed useless or does it drop into the under bed storage area?

First Cybertruck down while offroading! Rear steering tie-rod broken @ KOH (by Unplugged Performance)

Unplugged Performance makes some good stuff. I’m glad to see someone pushing the limits and making the truck better and stronger than stock. Serious truck owners are always looking to improve the strength and performance of their trucks. Yes the Cyber Truck as designed isn’t the best Factory Off...

Powershare Home Backup eligibility email received today 1/29/24

Got our confirmation email yesterday. We lost our home in the SCE/Woolsey Wildfire Fire in 2018 and are still waiting for final rebuild permits from the City to start rebuilding. We are, however, rebuilding with a Tesla Roof and 3 Powerwalls. Hopefully, we can start rebuilding our home before we...

Aftermarket 325 wide tires + 18" Method wheels installed on Cybertruck

Thanks Brian- Thanks for the Video! I live just over the hill from you guys in Malibu, so I’ll probably be visiting you guys for a Satin Black Wrap when I take delivery of my Tri Motor CT! I just recently put 37s on my Chevy ZR-2, AEV Bison Edition, with no lift and no rubbing. Granted I did use...

https://www.methodracewheels.com/blogs/news/tagged/race Method wheels with BeadGrip allow you to air down to unbelievably low pressures without having a two piece wheel that Tire Shops won't touch. My choice when/if I switch to aftermarket wheels.

Aftermarket 325 wide tires + 18" Method wheels installed on Cybertruck

This is about as “Scientific” as you can get, with regards to comparing wide vs narrow Offroad tires and Contact patch at different air pressures. Surprisingly Narrow tires yield a larger contact patch area.

Is wrapping our only option? Patina

Contrary to some commenters on this forum, "Stainless Steel" does discolor (rust). Some alloys of Stainless (304 vs 316) more than others. I would love to do a Black Ion PVD Coating or DLC. https://www.johndesmond.com/blog/environment/a-brief-tutorial-in-titanium-ion-plating/...

Looks great! No doubt performs better off road! It will definitely take a range hit and rub with the 10 degree rear wheel steering update. I will be upgrading to a more aggressive off road tires when the stock tires wear out but prefer narrow offroad "Pizza Cutter" tires as they have proven...
