New Non-FS 2025 AWD Owner here

True, but they actually continually update and change out parts. If a part becomes cheaper, or more reliable, they won’t wait for a new year to swap it out. Look at the 2016 model S, first have of the year even looks completely different and has different computer and everything.

Base RWD Cybertruck won't have Automatic Tonneau Cover or AC Outlets

"Automatic" is an ambiguous word, I think they meant "powered"

Glamis Cybertruck Takeover Coming in February (President's Day Weekend)

If dust is a deal breaker, off-roading might not be for you. I would never take my CT, because I have a Jeep, but it has no roof or doors, and dust gets everywhere, but kids love it.

    Single Motor - "Positive Traction?"

Which is why I said that if the reason to produce a cheaper truck, being single motor. The price of the motor is much cheaper than $20k gaps in models, so there would have to be a lot more reasons to differentiate the models.

    Single Motor - "Positive Traction?"

When Tesla reduced the battery pack via software, it was actually a win for most customers, because most people never charge over 80%(and shouldn’t). And since the cars 100% was actually 80%, you would get much faster charging to 100%, could charge to 100% without worrying about battery...

    Single Motor - "Positive Traction?"

I would bet, if price becomes a reason to produce a single motor version, then there would be a lot of changes. Non-cooling seats, no air suspension, non-powered frunk, maybe even no rear steering. They could get rid of a lot. All it needs is steer-by-wire, decent acceleration, and the shape.

    2 Horsepower vs 1200 Horsepower!

This is a great example of how traction can be more important than power. Those videos of F150s playing tug-a-war with CTs are useless videos.

    D-Ring install

Oh, two of mine are pretty easy to move, but the other two take my full weight stand in it two close them. and I have lubed them up and tried moving them a few times to loosen them

Chevy Cruze Owner Follows me to berate me and my Cybertruck [CLOSED DUE TO POLITICS]

You have to be doing pretty awful in your life when you feel the need to go out of your way just to insult the belongings of someone else, extreme jealousy is all it is. Maybe not of the CyberTruck itself, but of your life situation and being able to afford it. It's like the people that...

Remember range anxiety? - we don't talk about Range Liberation enough

That anxiety of laying in bed, thinking, “I should of filled up before coming home, I should Have enough to make it to work, but not enough to make it home, do I stop here on the way out? What if the gas station near work is cheaper, plus it’s going to be freezing”. Now I don’t think about...

    Keyed on video

So all he learned was that he can do it again with no consequences. So if he does it again, and some one less forgiving shoots him(there are people that have done more for less) who would be to blame?

    Whistlindiesel Cybertruck Durability Test #2

I tug of war between two vehicles only tests traction. A geared down lawnmower can beat an F150, if it’s heavy enough.

    Reducing acceleration mode improves efficiency

Ah, I see, for me as long as I can make it to my next destination(SC or Final destination) all that matters is how long it takes to get there. If I could get 800 miles on a charge, but only drive 15 Mph, it would be useless to me.

    Reducing acceleration mode improves efficiency

At that temp, I would expect to have much less range, not sure if that's a bad battery. I still think that overall, if time is what you're trying to reduce on the trip, going faster "should" reduce overall time. Say you go 84Mph, and arrive at the super charger with 8-10%. The charging rate...

    Reducing acceleration mode improves efficiency

I don’t want to do the math, because someone else on here already did it, but 10% extra range, but loosing 13% speed,(assuming 65 in a 75) will actually be a slower overall trip, this includes the extra time it takes to charge. I’d like to find the post, but you had to go something like 110...

Street Legal Aftermarket Side Mirror installed

Leave to to Tesla to make removable side mirrors, and obstruct the rear view mirror. Also I've always hated the way mirror look on a car, their like the ears, least sexy part of a car, and seeing a car without the, make the car look so much better.

Does this include, the rear screen? My kids actively have 2 different Bluetooth headsets connected, and I have my phone connected. Could they also connect 2 controllers to the rear screen?

    Limited regen going downhill

Just because you aren’t using your brakes doesn’t mean your brakes aren’t being used. The truck will apply brakes when needed to supplement the regen, there unfortunately isn’t any indication of when this is happening. There is a setting to turn this off, but it’s on by default.

Anyone notice diff between beast in custom mode with beast power vs. beast mode?

I usually drive in Beast, but on long road trips, Custom with beast acceleration, and relaxed, low(for better range). It is more comfortable on the bumps. The acceleration feels about the same to me. Cornering feels worse. And the steering wheel is looser.
