That's a butyl patch, which is typically used to reduce noise and vibration. It's not the adhesive that many people would think is the "fix".

Looks like they updated the service manual yesterday to include the "rework" steps. I used the Wayback Machine to compare differences between 1/21/2025 and today, and the only difference I found were these steps Removal Install Everything else on this is the same

That's completely understandable. If you look at a majority of the users here, most have been created in the past two weeks because of the cant rail issue and them wondering the status of their truck. Having a VIN isn't going to hurt anything. The VIN is visible when you're parked in public...

Sounds like you got the unicorn out of the batch! I'm curious to know what your VIN is. Like I mentioned in several other posts, I run an independent EV repair shop and I can lookup VINs to see what parts have been installed. I've done lookups for @cwood1009 and @Willwillx so far
