In states like CA, per the law: they don't have to be removed, they need to be covered. That said... This state doesn't even enforce people driving around without insurance or license plates, so I doubt you will get a ticket for an uncovered light bar.

i don't care how long it takes to clean off, nor do i care about what other prospective tools they have in their arsenal... Crime, including vandalism, shouldn't be tolerated just bc it cleans off easily.
