This has been a known issue for many years on many models. My 3 limps on charging as it has a partial PCS failure. S had a failure. Other than the battery, this(PCS) and the charge port take quite a bit of use. Shame Tesla can't figure something like this.
For example my S has had 4118...
You must have missed the capex spend. This is about the future. Not some wimpy bottom line now. Tesla isn't trying to compete against legacy auto any longer. Those are thoughts of yesteryear.
An updated version of the Roadster sports car, Tesla’s first-ever vehicle, will be its last traditional vehicle. All other new Teslas will be autonomous vehicles, Musk said.
Yep. It should be evident that if it doesn't sell it has an endpoint. Nothing is a sacred cow.
Also likely no hardware 4.5, and no 5.0 for those as they fade away.
Please ask:
Any considerations for turning the CT line into a new line of stainless steel tumblers for Tesla?
Not selling much CT. Maybe take out YETI and RTIC in one swing. We all need another tumbler.
It is the FSD computer and associated FSD components. Looks like in this case a newer computer was released in between 4.00 and 5.00 making it 4.5. currently being found in some newly built model Y's. Not sure changes in anything other than computer in this case.
Why not 4.20?
Everyone wants a subscription to add. It is the best crack to sell to investors. Recurring revenue on a subscription basis that can show stickiness.
Once people take the hit they likely don't stop. I don't like that model. Look at all the finance apps telling people how much they spend on...
I would say most Tesla's do pretty great in snow. Assuming one has snow tires. Low CG is one great thing. Another is the reduction of linkages to the wheels. Everything is pretty much direct drive and therefore almost ABS like when it comes to slowing a wheel down or speeding one up.

I tried it once. Ended up at the back of an Enterprise parking lot. Truck was unhappy. I drove home saying I was sorry to my wife for a science experiment.
I also enjoy my Outposts. Don't discount them in the summer. They aren't really winter as much as the others in the Nokian line. More flipper action which is needed in heavy snow. They also do fit the chains that are sold in the Tesla store.
I remember the other problem water down into the b pillar cameras making them inoperable because they freeze up.
That's going in next week.
Better get it fixed under warranty. This happened to my model S. It's a pretty penny to fix. Maybe not be a big deal for all you warm weathered folks...
