No the cap was not on prior to it falling off. I put the cap on while I waited for the new wheel cover so it looked less stupid, but I guess I'm stupid because I can't get it off.
So randomly the driver side front wheel cover just was not on the wheel... Didn't hit anything or scrape (I've seen reddit posts where this his happening?) Any one have this happen? I ordered a replacement cover for $75 and it came.
Side note, I used abstract ocean center cap and lug nut...
I don't know quite which one I got. But I do like it. I'll take some pics and post later. I also expected to to be "crazy bright", it's not really that bright I didn't think.
for anyone who cares, I finally got my follow up appointment in Paramus and they actually installed the lightbar and had it plugged it, so it works completely fine. I guess they realized they really messed up the first time. Looks great and works great.
Just to update this, the day I took the car back from the third party after they showed me the light bar was faulty, I went in the Tesla app and told them exactly what happened with video and photo proof - they responded "A service advisor will reach out to your Monday" - Monday came and went...
It's incredibly stupid and frustrating. We all paid for something to obviously be a part of the car and work... meanwhile now we're supposed to take something that's not fully installed and then pay for it to get installed by a third-party. It's insane. Let alone it being faulty
well, back to the drawing board. The third-party shop tried to make the connection and plugged it in, and verified that the lightbar installed by Tesla was faulty. See the video attached of the plug working with a different light but not when they plug it into the light bar. So now I have to go...
Nope nothing from Tesla. Mine was a FS Beast I'm not sure if that matters. But it was free. Third party wants $200 for the final plug in - dropping it off tomorrow.
