  1. Visibility from driver's seat?

The visibility in the CT is well below average for a full size truck. The odd angles make visibility a challenge and the complete blackout of the rear and camera solution need to be improved. Would rate the CT a 5/10 for visibility, not the worst but not good and on the very low end for a full...
  2. Towed a 10,400 pound generator today!

Chevy can use the Tesla charging network for slow 250kw charging or EA for 350w.
  3. Towed a 10,400 pound generator today!

Overall pretty much agree with that. CT is a fun sportscar minivan. Chevy is an ugly work truck. Rivian is?
  4. Towing Report 3/29/24

My son has been trying to use his CT as a work truck for the past few weeks. Very doable if you are in town and going very short distances. When towing large loads plan on less than 100 miles of range total with any speed. The power of the truck is undeniable Tesla just needs to roll out the...
  5. $130K BEAST… no homelink?

One of many things that was cut with the CT to save cost. The vehicle really should be about 65k but Tesla wants to show a profit on it early so the price is sky high because we are currently paying it. The price will drop for the truck or they will add cut features, or both.
  6. Hazard lights STUCK ON & I cannot turn them off! 😮

Don't drive much, driving with hazards on is a non-moving violation in most states.
  7. My Range Improved After Software Update 2024.8.7

Son's truck got the update and similar results on screen, do not however seem to transfer to reality range via his various tracking apps.
  8. Towed a 10,400 pound generator today!

Maybe, but besides all of the conjecture what I see is one truck that can do close to 500 miles and 250+ towing, the Silverado, which is no doubt a truck and a work truck. The CT gets about half of those numbers and is a luxury suv that can do a few truck things. The competition is good and...
  9. Elon says "Production is ramping" and ~370 Cybertrucks spotted at Giga Texas 3/21/24

Not sure why they would be pushing 3 and Y for quarter when the world is looking at the CT. But I guess that means we will see a big spike in deliveries starting next week for CT. Should be a huge push of deliveries if they are truly producing more than 50 a day, so far have not seen it.
  10. .

Stock price both short and mid term relies on Tesla delivering more vehicles and Elon staying off Twitter. Cybertruck is not a huge impact to revenue but it is a confidence metric and the stock will do better if all the significant issues with the CT get ironed out. It is a bad news story when...
  11. My Range Improved After Software Update 2024.8.7

So potentially a half a percentage difference is what you are showing? Think it is possible that other factors are contributing to that but hopefully Tesla can make drastic improvements with both software and hardware to get the truck a more respectable range to compete with Chevy.
  12. Elon says "Production is ramping" and ~370 Cybertrucks spotted at Giga Texas 3/21/24

Wondering when the lag in VINs and deliveries will catch up with the production. If these production numbers are to be believed not sure where all of these trucks are going unless there is a holding facility somewhere with thousands of CTs
  13. Before final payment, can you test drive?

No test drives and most places will not allow you to even sit in it. This will likely change once the initial excitement dies down and Tesla realizes that people won't pay 100k sight unseen, until then it is a luxury item somewhat in demand. You also can not sell or return the truck so keep...
  14. Towed a 10,400 pound generator today!

If Chevy can do it with the Silverado I am sure the Tesla team can do it, just surprised that Chevy has the lead in range and towing for an EV, not to mention the 350kw charging
  15. Unorthodox thinking

With the amount of travel in the CT putting it on extract mode and then low should be enough to get the tire off the ground, at least it should. Tesla will refresh the cybertruck soon, to many small and easy things missed that will greatly diminish sales if not fixed, stockholders and the free...
  16. Towed a 10,400 pound generator today!

The charge time and battery size of the cybertruck are the real killers. The CT could have blown by the other EV trucks with decent charging and a bigger battery pack and competed with ICE trucks for work trucks. I think Tesla realized that most people will be driving these from their home...
  17. Motor Trend Compare

Be interested to get your view. For the most part reviews seem to be paid reps for Ford or Tesla zealots. Neither of which is very insightful. Cybertruck is the first electric truck I have driven more than 50 miles or so, it is very fast compared to ICE trucks but it is electric so of course...
  18. My Experience After First Week with Cybertruck, including off-roading @ Sand Hollow Utah

That tailgate gap is a serious oversight but an example of the truck being designed for city streets where that is not an issue. Anyone working with a truck that has driven down a dirt road could look at that during the planning or testing phase and realize that is a dust vacuum. Add that...
  19. CT Dead @ 1k

Gas vehicles will have belts, gaskets, and hoses go out longer term. EVs don't have those. The downside of mechanical engines and connections is that they break over time, the downside of electronics is they typically have early problem.s
  20. FSD Capability vs actually being included?

Had not thought of it in that light, but may be the single biggest revenue generated for a product not yet fully delivered in history.
