  1. Moving on from Cybertruck

9 shop visits here. Starting to worry about air suspension, 2x power steering problems, etc. when it's out of warranty, let alone all the little stupid things that keep falling apart on it. Going to get expensive fast. Tesla offered me $68,800 for my 20K mile dual motor truck, worth 79K new...
  2. Toll Booth Scam [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Grok says: Toll booth operators appear to be using the GVWR (or a printed guideline based on it) to classify the Cybertruck as a heavier vehicle requiring a higher toll class, likely bumping it from a standard Class 1 (passenger cars, typical 2-axle light vehicles) into a Class 2 or similar...
  3. Windshield wiper vandalized in NYC parking lot.

Oh, the media is hugely at fault also, but that's hundreds of people that had a minor part in it. One person decided to get deeply involved in politics, and even joined the government, while running a company. As a shareholder, this makes me mad. As a Cybertruck owner is also makes me mad, I...
  4. Windshield wiper vandalized in NYC parking lot.

I think about this often. Because of Elon, I have to waste kWhs daily running sentry in my driveway. Been spit on and keyed. Then most of the year, I waste kWhs additionally every day with cabin overheat protection. So my interior doesn’t off-gas and mess up my cameras. (4 other Teslas, no...
  5. Windshield wiper vandalized in NYC parking lot.

So not looking forward to visiting major cities on my huge summer road trip. I'm sorry this happened to you. :( You were able to disable wipers and FSD still ran? Didn't force them to wipe like it used to? This is actually a fear of mine.
  6. Woman Spits on Cybertruck at Phipps Plaza

Came here to say this - truck wasn't even parked like a douche. Lady was mad that two big vehicles barely fit side by side. Classless. Oh well, it was raining, spit probably was gone in minutes. Could have been much worse.
  7. Woman Spits on Cybertruck at Phipps Plaza

Not like us Cybertruck owners can do that either! :P
  8. Active Noise Cancelling installed ... but not active?!

It's relevant, because it shows that Tesla has put the Cybertruck on the back burner. Lumped in with X and S in sales numbers, and when it comes to enabling features or updating it with software that unlocks capabilities. Where's our ASS? At least we got FSD after ~a year, hopefully it doesn't...
  9. Active Noise Cancelling installed ... but not active?!

With other 1 million powerwalls sold, there's likely a large overlap of us with both. I know a few that live near me alone. It's a bad look to tell those invested in the ecosystem to pound sound for a third year, after advertising it as a capability.
  10. New Solid State Battery shown at CES - Game Changer??

Check out the thriving online owner groups. Energica, with is bankrupt and basically dead for the last year, 7K users, lots of posts and pictures daily. Verge, ~400 users. Same 4 people posting the same 4 bikes every few days. Almost professional pictures... Company won't talk about sales...
  11. Active Noise Cancelling installed ... but not active?!

No, but it pulls a hell of a lot less power from my powerwalls than the Cybertruck. Cybertruck is still unable to work with Powerwalls for bi-directional power. With the off gassing requiring cabin overheat protection to run AC all day, and the increased threat of attacks with a Cybertruck vs...
  12. New Solid State Battery shown at CES - Game Changer??

If Donut had tech from the year 2045, they'd have inked a deal last year. But so far, they haven't demoed their tech, written papers, created any patents, etc. They simply want to make a few dozen more Verge motorcycles, apparently. Donut CEO is the brother of Verge Motorcycle CEO. He's a...
  13. New Solid State Battery shown at CES - Game Changer??

They claim better density than Lithium Ion, cheaper production, 5c charging with no charge curve, and "unlimited" use with no degradation. From a tiny startup partnered with a solar panel production company, making motors for their brother's company that barely has any deliveries to their name...
  14. New Solid State Battery shown at CES - Game Changer??

Donut (with 22 employees, including a serial entertainer and fundraiser) partnered with a solar manufacture for production. They have no battery capacitor production experience, only panels. Combined, they've beat the specs Quantomscape says they'll have ready for production, in 2028...
  15. Active Noise Cancelling installed ... but not active?!

You aren’t in the Tesla eco system fully. Powerwalls make the truck useless during an outage.
  16. Active Noise Cancelling installed ... but not active?!

Really feeling like an abandoned product. If at 2 years of ownership, it won't power my house, I'm going back to a Model 3.
  17. New Solid State Battery shown at CES - Game Changer??

If the breakthrough were real, would they be building a few hundred electric motorcycle batteries a year (hopefully). Or, would they be rolling around in billions of dollars from Samsung, Panasonic, Tesla, etc. as they all desperately vie for licensing deals, or buyouts?
  18. Excessive Tire Wear on Cybertruck Dual Motor

I'm really tempted to switch to these - have you noticed any efficiency differences though? Seem like they'd cause a lot more drag, and weight more.
  19. Excessive Tire Wear on Cybertruck Dual Motor

I'm at 20K with my Scorpions. They still look good. One rotation around 16K. Going to replace them with Scorpions that have a warranty, eventually. I do FSD everywhere, and no offloading. Are you mashing it at green lights? Doesn't take much, my stealth performance Model 3 taught me that. hah
  20. FSD v14.2.2.1 (2025.45.6 Update) installed!

No go. Tried various power downs also. Going to open a ticket and wait two weeks for a service appointment, only for it to be fixed in 11 days when the next update hits. hah
