Glad that you are okay and the toughness of the truck paid off, but looking at the video, I feel you could have easily dodged it, if the exit was taken in time. I felt you were a little late in taking the exit.
That being said, it's always easy to sit here and criticize than to actually be...
Any updates? I started hearing this crackling sound from the front seat/console and it is definitely plastic. I only get it while accelerating or decelerating. Those who had a service appointment, is the issue resolved?
The extra dough is for early adoption. Nobody's forcing anyone to buy the FS by making them pay more. It is a choice that one makes.
Early Model S and Model X owners, care to share some of your experiences for paying so much when you got your teslas? I am thankful to them, otherwise, Tesla...
I'm not a apple user, but don't you have these chargers that stick using magnets to the back? Magsafe? Maybe you can use one to try and fish it out... again, I know iphones have it, but not sure if ipads have it too.
I listened to a YouTube short where Elon Musk explains charging of the lithium ion batteries... think of them as a empty parking lot on the day of a big game... the first ones to arrive have a huge choice to park anywhere... as the parking lot gets full, the drivers have to struggle more finding...
For me, I had a local Tesla center near me. Started by calling them and telling them that I had a VIN and they tracked it for me. Initially, it was in Austin, TX and they gave me a 2 day window to expect it to come to that center for me to pick it up.
Seems like the deliveries on NorCal have picked up like crazy... yesterday, I saw 3 different CTs on 3 different times, definitely 3 different owners. And all within 5 miles radius.
It takes about 7-10 days from VIN to delivery. But I kept calling every 3 days to check when it was coming... their tracking was accurate, but it was end of the quarter, so, I thought they might be busy and called just to check. Turns out that the truck was already there, but they couldn't...
UPDATE: Last night, I charged the truck to a 100% for the first time, translated to 301 miles :( I thought it was 305... anyways, I did not see any warnings or notifications pop-up during this charge, all was fine.
I also saw this on my truck but it was after it was charged to 80%, like an hour later... I still have not attempted to charge to a 100%, but will do that during the next charging session. Curious what it is and wondering if everyone sees this or just some of us. BTW, my wall charger is Gen2.
I read thru the motor configurations from Tesla cybertruck manual and the type of motors used in AWD are reversed in Beast, see attached.
I wonder when people say it's cool, are they talking about their AWD or Beast... my Beast seems to be a bit louder.
Really in-depth review. I took delivery of mine a week ago as well, you are on point about everything here.
But the motor sounds do bother me due to the quieter cabin. Is yours a beast or awd?
I made fuss about the spots on the stainless steel. Spent 15-20 mins before signing to take delivery... looks from steel were okay, but there were some glue residue and some black residue spots over it... some came off right away, others had to be cleaned later...
