FSD's reading of speed limits might be a little off

When the truck speed limit becomes 20, my CT no longer identifies as a truck. FSD does ... but the rest of the package is all WTF! And STILL doing with @ FSD 14.2.2.5.

Side camera cover installed on fender (to protect against elements / snow / ice)

Wouldn't putting a hood over the cam create an area of negative pressure in the wind stream? Wouldn't that ATTRACT smutz? IMO that is why the fender cams get so gunked up so quickly as is. The B pillar cams stay pretty clean. Too bad the Nav system doesn't use them as a substitute for a gunked...

Tesla Trailer Battery may be coming (new patent filed)

I've wondered if Tesla would publish the interface and allow 3rd parties to go after the likely low volume range extender. Now I'm wondering if the interface wasn't near enough to completion for the range extender contract terms and that caused the cancellation.

HOA Issues - Does Tesla provide any assistance with HOA nonsense?

Mountain Ski Area (PA version anyway) HOA set up in the 1990s obviously did not make provision for EV charging. An odd mix of some areas have some units w/ garages, some do not; other areas have zero garages and un-assigned parking lots ... and it's a mess. Needless to say the old farts (not...

Cybertruck tows a Cybercab & Optimus in display case

Had to do an 8-point turn to escape from the curb lane at the airport. Intelligent design is sorely lacking in that setup. Was happy to have 4-wheel steering.

    Glacier National Park charging dilemma?

The mountain condo we bought a few years back had a baseboard heater wired to a 20-amp 240 volt circuit. Didn't care the for aesthetics of the heater so it went away. Repurposed the 240 v 20 amp (2 live legs) circuit as an EV charger. Charged the CT at 8 to 9 miles per hour even across a 100...
