Wowzers... that's REALLY high. Even at my peek rate in hot Atlanta GA, my cost is only 13.5¢/kwh. Totally free between 12-6am on their EV charging rate plan. What city are you in that charges that high of a rate on electricity??
Those folding seats need to stay folding flat though, and maybe even go down a bit as they're folded. Not fold down, and then fold forward. What would make this truck shine is if the rear seats folded flat, and the front passenger and middle seats also folded flat to make a huge flat surface...
Is this seriously what it's going to be called or is this just some kind of production codename? It's the worst Tesla vehicle name ever if it's what they're going with.
I didn't love the sound at all. Bunch of screaming and some dude going "yeah" a lot. Guys.... Video content creators...please get your act together with music selection. Your current skills are terrible.
I was hoping they'd come up with some kind of Dyson Airblade style wiper system personally. Little vents popup and insane blast of very sharp and directed air blows the hell out of any water collecting on the windshield. That would be amazing.
Yeah, that curved front end and curved windshield are definitely "off" with the overall design of the truck. I'm guessing Elon will say they needed to curve the front end for better aero and to squeak out more miles. People will probably forget about it over time and forget that the original...
I most definitely want to see an explanation from Elon for the extra sized roof glass causing an overhang at the back, and the windshield edge being pushed forward causing what looks like a shorter front. I'm willing to bet the actual size of the front trunk is no different when opened up.
I never planed ever to park my CT in the garage. If it has a solar option, with side fold-out sails... that thing is staying parked in my driveway to soak up free energy when I'm working from home part of the week.
I don't get why everyone is so bent on getting it to fit in a garage. You...
I'm fine with it. On the verge of being booted from my job anyway for Covid mandate reasons, so I won't be able to save for the truck anyways. Have to focus on how to support my family right now. The truck is a toy/luxury item. It's not really needed.
I keep thinking in my head that with the front and rear having steering, suspension elements, and motors... what stops them from using the same assemblies for the front and the rear? They'd only have to make one beefy design, and then put it both on the front and the rear. I don't know what...
What about the fold out panels? I was understanding that there would be optional additional panels that could provide up to 35 miles per day. I imagine those would fold out from the sides of the bed to form what looks like wings on the sides of the vault.
Does anyone think that the range numbers we were given are WITH a payload or trailer weight? They stated the range of the Semitruck like that. Why would we be mislead with the Cybertruck to believe that it won't be able to tow at least the paylod capacity of 3500 lbs for 500 miles on one charge...
Yes.. I've done this many times with my Leaf and another vehicle to "jump start" it when I had a completely dead 12v battery. You only need to supply 12v power to the EV to just boot up the computers and get them to switch on the contactors for the main drive battery. Once that all takes place...
