True.
In my case I said I hope Europe follows suit because Norway is not in the EU ? But we usually harmonize rules to EU in this area. Sometimes we’re more lax (FSD) , sometimes a bit stricter.
That’s a more progressive attitude than I expected from that kind of authorities (not knowing much about Dutch authorities other than the progressive drug laws).
I wouldn’t have thought those yokes were anything other than for prototypes and early visualizations, but now I hope the rest of...
Tesla needs even more potential capacity even in disregard of GM/Ford, because, especially in Europe where trucks aren’t common on private hands, people not having thought of trucks before preordered a CT. Assuming Tesla choose to (or are able to) fulfill that market too.
Also assuming US truck...
The horizontally adjustable screen sounds nice for when you’re alone. But I can see that more with an instrument cluster as well so you get all signals and necessary information even though the copilot is hugging the screen. Especially if you need the screen for emergency gear shifts etc and...
It would be neat if this was geofencable. Like the side mirrors on existing Teslas. So it wouldn’t rise up before fully exited from the garage. Assuming it will fit at all in the length dimension of course.
I’m not familiar with which features are on the X in this regard.
Yes, thats’s handy most often. Another outlier would be when you don’t want the battery to lower into deep snow (local niche situation for me perhaps). If that wasn’t included in the definition of “rough surfaces” that is.
Actually it should probably have radars like the X falconwings, so it...
If Tesla has really thought about that they either have a telescopic stem in the side view cameras, include wireless cameras with suction cups for big trailers, or there’s a tall telescopic pole with a 360° camera one can put in a hole on the CT somewhere?
I was about to go further with a Tesla...
I believe it stems from some press images where it was loading the cyberquad and only the rear end was lowered.
I do however see it as a possibility that it will automatically lower all over due to the “Easy Entry” setting, or from the app. No reason not to.
Norwegian with CT preorders here. I don’t want the smaller Wolverine, and I hope the CT will get sold here (we have many harmonized laws with the EU but are not in the EU). We do have crazy EV incentives, some of the most future proof laws for FSD in Europe, and the gov aims for us not to be...
The latest rage in tents are inflatable tents, like the Heimplanet https://www.heimplanet.com/shop/shelters/tents/mavericks
Seeing all the inflatable castles for kids there seems to be no limit to size and how many nooks and rooms they can have.
The compressor could inflate a cyber castle in...
Thank you. My bad (memory) then. Thought comparison to F150 was with mirrors. Sorry about that.
Still, also giving CT measurements with side mirrors would destroy the futuristic illusion of the prototype.
I would (almost) bet the car will get delivered with a round wheel. In any vehicle where you routinely turn more than half a round of the wheel it’s much safer with a round wheel than a yoke. Not to mention in off-road situations. To use a yoke they would also have to change typical steering...
I have made that argument myself about the measurement of the width. Compared to trucks with mirrors the CT might actually have a wider body if the mirrors are not included (instead of seeming to be approx the same as other trucks as comparisons show). Those are only temporary measurements...
Not that Tesla is bound by their CT prototype at all, but they seem to look to side view cameras on the Semi as well, so I would guess they could differentiate between markets and deliver both mirrors and cameras, much like what Audi does with the e-Tron. In Europe side view cameras are legal...
2035?! The Norwegian government aims for only EVs to be sold new from 2025. We have the population of a city for you lot over there, and not that we’re Ford’s market, but just for comparison.
I’m at 30k something, and have another one a bit later (the next day). But I’m in Norway so it doesn’t matter. If it gets here it’s later anyway. You’ll all skip ahead of my two spots! You’re welcome!
EVs are all over Norway. Most new cars sold here are EVs by a great margin. Sure the range is often 2/3 in the winter but there are Tesla Superchargers all over too. Many V3.
I might not get it in the garage but I would still keep it plugged in.
