    FYI this is an option. There is a check-box for "tilt mirrors" when reversing. Today on the highway I saw a Toyota Tacoma with a rack on top of the bed rails, and a tent on the bed. No rear-view camera, only side mirrors to see behind. Yes, limited visibility, like others have posted here...

    Have you removed the side mirrors on your truck or do you just not know how to adjust or use them? I ask because there is no way that the broadside of a truck parked across the street cannot be seen in the sideview mirrors before you back into it.

    Funny you should ask, 2 days ago I was caught in a sudden downpour on the way home from the gym and sure enough the tailgate camera had droplets on it that blocked 2/3rds of the image whereas the upper camera was crystal clear. That is only 1 data point and I will continue to monitor but yes...
