...is pretty comfy, but it would help if you have a mattress topper.
I left the tonneau appliqué at the top since I have the digital rearviewcamera attached to it.
If you have any accessories on the L-track, you’ll need to remove them before setting up the tent since they’ll be in the way. For...
My bed area has been dry for two years (and I live and park in constant rain most of the winter). Parked uphill or downhill, it doesn't matter, cargo stays dry. I don't need a rearview mirror, I use my side mirrors and they work just fine for everything but vehicles within one car length behind...
I just noticed this a day or so ago.
When I signal for a right or left turn or lane change, the rearviewcamera image on the screen changes to the cameraview from the side I'm turning toward.
I know I might be a bit slow on the up take, but I think this is a recent software update.
I really want a rear-view mirror screen from Tesla that taps right into the back camera. I know third party ones exist, but Tesla had the rear-view mirror screen on the prototype people got test drives in. I really wish they didn't scrap it.
FYI: I had one. This is an email I sent, and they were kind to want to replace it, but it doesn't solve the problem I was experiencing. From Support:
Also, my friend at Tesla said He wouldnt want that on his Tesla for the fact that FSD could be effected visualy. and be a safety issue...
HomeLink - Even the GDO used by SG-1 required manual entry. Be a man and push a button.
Adaptive Headlights - I just leave my high-beams on all the time. Drivers get mad but they were probably going to give me the finger anyway
Not Just ASS. Dumb Summon, Auto Pilot - Real Men use FSD...
From the half empty list, what I personally care would want / care about:
HomeLink - nope, do not care
Adaptive Headlights - yes, want
Not Just ASS. Dumb Summon, Auto Pilot - only straight back/forth remote control. Don’t care about ASS or Auto pilot
Auto-opening/closing doors - nope, don't...
I would have really liked the built-in tailgate ramp. But, being able to squat the rear to load rolling cargo would be nice and that could be a simple software update.
.
I know, I know nobody likes to hear any criticism of their baby. I’m sorry. But one of those heathens over on Reddit asked the following question: Besides ASS, which options/features does the Cybertruck not have that other S3XY vehicles do?
Being the glass half-empty beam of sunshine that I am...
Yes, thanks. Whatever was on my windshield was on the entire thing but you couldn’t see it or feel it except in certain light so when they cleaned the FSD camera area it didn’t help because the issue was on the exterior. It was very frustrating.
Wait. You do realize those notifications are for cleaning the windshield in front on the cameras though, right? It can't know what the rest of your windshield looks like. And those cameras are hidden behind that plastic thing-a-ma-jig piece that supports your rear-view "backseat" camera...
The digital rearview has advantages over the existing rearviewcamera:
Probably the top reason is that it's less susceptible to water since most people install it at top of the tonneau. There are covers you can purchase or print
Helpful if you've got the tailgate down while hauling...
Why do you need to add a rearview mirror for God’s sake? You have a rearviewcamera already you can expand to cover the entire huge screen. Just because your a creature of habit and need a screen that looks like an old fashioned rearview mirror. I took that silly mirror down the first day and...
Regarding rearview visibility, I will say once you get used to it, it’s not a big deal. I also thought it was weird how rearviewcamera is gone when a turn signal is on, but have gotten used to it. Plus, the side camera does give a decent rearview.
In short, you’ll get used to it and I don’t...
I’m glad you are finally joining the club. I will second your notion of camera washers. Not only for the rearviewcamera, but for the side cameras as well. This should have been standard. One push of the washer button should clear all of the cameras at once. Especially since the CT rearview...
Converted my day 1 reservation to a preorder for the $60K trim, just to have the option to purchase next year.
Test drove a 2026 AWD for a refresher and it really impressed me, felt like a noticeably refinement of the truck I originally tested. The body panel and door alignment was perfect. The...
