Looks great! What did you end up doing with the Hansshow harness that runs to the mirror? Did you pull wires out of that harness and attach to the positive and negative of your fuse box? If so, which wires did you pull out? I tried to install the 10.88 mirror using its harness by unplugging...
I used this one

On the rear and when it fogs it clears with the sun but it rained and water got in and froze blocking the view.
Allows better visibility at night with cars behind you. Makes rearcamera kinda usable at night.
I wanted to share something I just tested that honestly surprised me.
In FSD v13, running a bike rack (especially with bikes mounted) made Full Self-Driving borderline unusable. The rearcamera being occluded caused constant panic behavior; aggressive braking, erratic acceleration, and...
...pulled a trailer. Pretty cool adjusting the suspension using the phone to push the ball up into the coupler or dropping it out. Also lovin' the rearviewcamera. The empty trailer is only 2300lbs but it made regen braking noisy. No FSD (obviously), and it sucks to not have cruise control...
Jeff, the guy is asking a valid question. As a 12 year different teslas owner, I'll say some shit needs work. Like my model X that had never ending falcon door issues. I love my foundation series but if you live in a northern climate, stick cameras, full self driving doesn't always do the job...
I’m playing around with a new camera setup to, previously had a 100 degrees focus, and it was near perfect, when I rolled down the cover and compared the mirror/screen with the reflected image in the mirror/screen. I’m now looking for higher quality camera, and just tried a 5mm-15mm lens and at...
...with custom wiring harnesses of dubious quality, not true digital rearview mirrors. There's some advantage to having a dedicated rearviewcamera, since I can see my bed, have a higher vantage point that isn't subject to as much glare and there's less chance that both cameras are obscured...
Are you still with the S92? I have one in an unopened box and am trying to decide whether to install it after an aborted first try with that model last March was DOA - this is a new replacement they sent after multiple WhatsApp interactions, so I assume it has the newest updates…
I have to disagree. The wide angle view that is presented on the screen does not give a rearward view that is anything like what you see in an actual rearview mirror. And that view disappears anytime you are using a turn signal. I realize that the standard cameras on all of the aftermarket...
Here was my solution, but I'm working a better solution, still planning things out, was planning on using an iPad mini as the mirror, but I've found 4k ultra wide displays that might work. I'll make a post once I figure it all out.
For me personally its a night and day difference and the one accessory id buy again in a heart beat. I had a lot of trouble adjusting to the screen rearview and like OP any time it rained or got dirty it was useless. The rearcamera mounted on the roof solved all of those problems for me. Its a...
