Common issue. Ive had mine replaced twice. This is a 2025 model too so it isn’t strictly the early 24s. Make an appointment they’ll change it out. beware tho they scratched my bumper last time and then broke one of the bolts into a stud. So make sure you have good service techs.

Metal tailgate is held in by screws on the backside not by clips. So you can screw it off and take the lid and spoiler off as one piece

close the tailgate, then look at it from underneath, might need a flashlight, but they can be accessed. will be one on the right side one on the left side. just use a ratchet with an extension

No there’s 2 bolts on bottom if you close it and look up from bottom. Purple arrow

My first tailgate replacement did this. They did not tighten one of the bolts on the bottom side of the tailgate. I tightened it myself and it stopped popping. There’s 2 bolts ones towards the left and ones toward the right

Also interested to see how it looks now. If it’s still holding up I’ll order a bottle right now lol

sign me up for white carbon pieces to cover the white on the cybertruck too. while the carbon pieces look nice, I went with white interior for a reason lol. do you guys plan on doing the whole dash piece ever? like the big flat piece on top
