Interesting idea. I wonder if they'll ask for more money from reservation holders as production nears/starts or making it non-refundable. Then this might not be worth it depending on your situation.
So you're assuming by the time you get your CT, Tesla insurance will be available to everyone in the United States.
What about someone who doesn't live in the U.S.?
I've heard from a Tesla employee that a car for sale with a 0-60 in under 3 seconds makes the insurance rate way higher. In a way to work around this I believe Tesla will update the listing to 3 seconds for the tri motor CT.
I have a CT Tri-motor reservation and I hope they do this. I'd rather...
I agree. Price doesn't justify it for me. To me this is a high tech luxurious option. Hopefully as more third party companies make products and scale, there will be cheaper options.

I'm from New York and would love to fly to Texas and drive back depending when they release. With the tri-motor 500+ mile range and FSD, it should be a great trip!
Those are good points. Aside from the visual looks, the CT utility is unlike any other. I assume most people with work trucks care about most that over looks. Definitely seems to look like its from the future though. So who knows, maybe all transportation will look like this one day!
I have a feeling that TSLA knows they can't convert your typical Ford pickup buyer. If you look at the difference visually between the F150 and CT, it's pretty clear they're not going for that market. I have a lot of friends who have pickups and they hate the way the CT looks. I on the other...
Hey all,
I'm new here and happy to be apart of the Cybertruck "future" owners club.
I've been thinking a lot about how the Cybertruck will do in crash tests. With Tesla having the safest vehicles on the road, I'm hopeful that the Cybertruck will be even safer. Just a few things come to mind...
