no. I had noted a concern that "the front camera never defrosts. rest of windshield defrosts fine. Can't use FSD in the am. Only clears when the sun sits on it or the temp outside goes up".
I was surprised by the windshield replacement. I'm guessing the windshield was malformed around the camera housing causing it to not have a good seal against the glass. So when defrosting the camera, any air was pushed outside the housing and never defrosting a thing. They didn't change anything...
So Tesla feels the problem with the defrosting of the center camera is that the windshield isn't properly sealed and is replacing the windshield under warranty. I'll know more when I pick it up. It won't be ready until end of day tomorrow. Perhaps they are suggesting isn't properly sealed around...
A service appointment sounds appropriate. I could get the other stuff done while its there, camera cleaning since they have to open it up anyway for this issue, and the tire rotation since they have it. Next appt isn't for another couple of weeks in the service centers around me. I'll update...
Not for me. Defrost in the app takes care of the windshield. What you see in the photo over the camera never gets cleared. I have to either hop on a stool and scrape it off, or wait for the sun to melt it. The wipers are useless taking it off, and using the washer fluid doesn't seem to help...
'Tis the season in the Northern states to deal with defrosting the windshield in the morning. Whenever I defrost the windshield, it clears very well, except for the front cameras. Isn't that supposed to have some sort of defrost ability like the B pillar cameras? Anyone else dealing with this?
Got the update this morning. Took me a hot second to get used to not having that "set max speed" on the right scroll wheel. Just cycles through the drive types.
I had left my Cybertruck in my driveway, not plugged in, with 74% charge, and came back 9 days later to 71% charge. No sentry mode, weather was in the 40s, so no overheat protection came on.
I'd say in RI, 98% positive, and 2% negative. I've received 3 middle fingers in Providence, and 1 yelled as they drove by about how ugly it was (he was driving a beater so ?‍♂️). Kids love the CT! When I first brought it home the end of November, I wondered where all these kids were at Halloween!
I have the same problem. Took it in to have a couple error messages looked at. I had a tech ride with me and he confirmed hearing it. Also, goes away when turning, but also when hitting any bumps in the road. At first he tried to say it was wind noise until he noticed it disappeared at times...
