Cybertruck Photos Leaked! ? [Added: Video Showing Whole Truck -- Rear & Bed]

My guess is that they are trying to fit in a “CyberFrunk” in the space between the top of the bumper and the underside of the dash. Mounting a hidden wiper there would cut into the opening height.

Anyone selling what your CT will replace?

I agree…I’ll ride my Zero DS to Home Depot for bolts or packages that will fit in the top case but I draw the line at 8 foot 2x4s. The Aptera I have reserved, however…looks like I can stack 2x4s in that and skip taking the CT out.

Anyone selling what your CT will replace?

I have a ‘96 F250 Powerstroke xcab long bed that I converted to run on straight vegetable oil, back when that was popular. It’s not my main vehicle but I use it a lot so don’t want to get rid of it until I get the CT. I Might fix it up a little first - as is I get guys all the time asking if I...

For retail customers, the lowest priced full-size pickup truck with 300mi range, Ford F-150 Lightning Pro ER or Tesla Cybertruck?

Well, it was a pun...your interpretation and his reaching over the side of the truck. To me that is not a video of a person who would have an easy time lifting something over the side or reaching for something inside. But we just disagree on how it appears so that's what it is. Additionally...

For retail customers, the lowest priced full-size pickup truck with 300mi range, Ford F-150 Lightning Pro ER or Tesla Cybertruck?

I think that’s a “stretch.” In any case, I’m going to agree with Sandy’s assessment - no contractors are going to be buying the Cybertruck and the Cybertruck is more of a hybrid sport utility/truck. But we’ll see when deliveries start.

For retail customers, the lowest priced full-size pickup truck with 300mi range, Ford F-150 Lightning Pro ER or Tesla Cybertruck?

In these clips from that video, you can see that Jay Leno can just rest his arm at shoulder height at the very back of the Cybertruck. In the next instant Franz starts to open the vault and in the wider shot you can see by the clearance that the truck has probably already been lowered to its...

For retail customers, the lowest priced full-size pickup truck with 300mi range, Ford F-150 Lightning Pro ER or Tesla Cybertruck?

The problem is what is shoulder height for most people. I'm 6'1" so I'm ok lifting heavy objects over a 4'5" wall and dropping them on the other side. Change that even by 4" and now I'm lifting uphill to put something in the bed. If it slopes you still have to lift over the high end. The CT...

For retail customers, the lowest priced full-size pickup truck with 300mi range, Ford F-150 Lightning Pro ER or Tesla Cybertruck?

Sure...It's a '96 F-250. The top of the sides are about 4 1/2 feet off the ground and the floor of the bed is about 34" off the ground...almost counter height. I estimate the midpoint of the CT's sail pillar is going to be at least 5 1/2 feet off the ground...still possible to swing something...

For retail customers, the lowest priced full-size pickup truck with 300mi range, Ford F-150 Lightning Pro ER or Tesla Cybertruck?

Sandy has spoken a little more on this: Basically, he doesn't think of the Cybertruck as a "truck" and that they aren't really comparable: “The Cybertruck I don’t think is made for contractors…that would be like buying an SUV and calling it your truck." “The F-150, the Lightning, that’s for...

610 miles of range for Cybertruck - is it for real?

I need to make a correction - in using the Model X as a surrogate for the CT I forgot to factor in the efficiency penalty that the CT would have over the Model X due to the difference in cd values. The Model X has a cd of .24 and the CT should have a cd of .30 (per Elon’s tweet). I don’t have a...

610 miles of range for Cybertruck - is it for real?

Well, I was referring more to when it is used as a point of refutation in a discussion - just gets really tiresome to wade through. A person may be absolutely correct about my poor career choice or my many character flaws, but they [probably] aren't really relevant to the data presented or...

610 miles of range for Cybertruck - is it for real?

We all have seen the patent UI mock-ups - 610 miles of range! Shocking, surprising? Even unbelievable? Just a random number in a mockup? How does the CT get there in a package that weighs the same (or less) than a Ford ICE F-150 and cost $70k (or less)? Elon had stated in the reveal that they...

Quotes by Sandy from the video: "...these innovations [referring to LG's pouch cells] are the right way to go." "...from some of the pictures, it looks to me like they've done a good job. It'll probably be a closer competitor to Tesla on how they've done battery management than some of the...

The 4680 cells in the CT will be stellar; Sandy Munro did praise the pouch cells in the Lightning, however.

For retail customers, the lowest priced full-size pickup truck with 300mi range, Ford F-150 Lightning Pro ER or Tesla Cybertruck?

I have a res for the CT DM. If only Ford has an ev tax credit I would consider the XLT ER if the real range is 400+ miles as is now being reported, but would probably stick with the CT for the reasons you list. If CT is going to qualify for a $10k tax credit I'm no longer considering the Ford...

For retail customers, the lowest priced full-size pickup truck with 300mi range, Ford F-150 Lightning Pro ER or Tesla Cybertruck?

Yes that “fleet only” restriction on the Pro ER is really annoying. The big factor here is the ev tax credit. As it stands, you can subtract $7500 for each of the Ford trim levels (except the highest). However, the ev tax plan that just passed through the Senate would allow you to subtract...

    Tesla Boats/Watercraft?

From their website: “in general, due to electric propulsion, the Q2 can be driven on lakes, rivers, seas and marine protected areas, whereas the minimum water depth must be above 1m (3.3ft)…as long as the height of the waves does not exceed 0.5 m (1.76ft).” I suppose you would want to keep a...
