I have an appointment on the 29th for a few issues, one of them being the bed divider not latching in place in the middle third of the bed. We'll see if it gets fixed of if I'm told they'll let me know when there is a solution. :/
Yea, I'd understand if it moved inboard of the A pillar over a certain speed and stayed there, or even if it moved it inboard every time you put it in drive, but I don't think that's what some of us are seeing. For me, it's moving back and forth maybe 1/4" (if that), but it's enough to tell it's...
I remember reading about this during the development cycle and "move slightly" seemed to imply it would change the angle of the wiper arm slightly for better aero. The question is does "move slightly" mean a one time slight movement or constant slight movement because the latter seems a bit odd...
I thought it was wind at first, but I've noticed when it's happening on my truck, it'll continue doing so even when I'm at a complete stop. Once I stop somewhere and exit the vehicle, it stops and may or may not do it again on the next drive. It just seems a bit odd and I would think is not...
This is expected behavior over a certain speed. Can’t remember if it was 35 or 45 mph. It stays down to keep water from immediately coming back up the windshield.
I’ve seen the same behavior on my truck and it’s super bizarre and inconsistent. Not sure what’s causing it, but I haven’t reported it yet, either.
Hah! Indeed. Not having even basic AP on the Cybertruck makes it less enjoyable for me when it comes to road tripping, but that's offset by it just being generally fun to drive and access to the Supercharger network. The routes we take that have CCS chargers are super unreliable, so I refuse to...
Same. We have an R1S and it was my daily driver before we got our Cybertruck. I absolutely loved the R1S and still do in some ways, but driving it feels like a major step backwards and I find the suspension in the Cybertruck to be more comfortable.
The R1S is a great road tripping vehicle...
Definitely an easier solution for warmth when it's cold. Even an electric blanket would likely be plenty. Doesn't work so well to stay cool in the summer, though. :)
I don't really want to beat a dead horse on this topic, but I do feel compelled to share my perspective on this after having the truck for a couple of months.
I understand the appeal for a pass through window on the surface, as it could provide for a temperature controlled sleeping environment...
That's what I'm working on with them right now. I've done a bunch of 3D scanning of my truck for them and they are sending me some parts to test fitting before going to production. I'm not sure on the timing for its release, but I can say with certainty it is in the works. :)
A couple of other bits I forgot to mention:
- We had the HVAC set to LO both nights we slept in the tent. Sentry mode was also enabled. We used about 10% of the battery the first night and 12% the second night. Our friends we were camping with had a 50 amp plug on their property, so it made...
I asked them about using the vents in the rear console, but the adapter needed to draw air from there would be very oddly shaped and not easy to pack away. Another reason the Campstream folks have opted for the front vents is because some newer Tesla's have the ability to shut off the passenger...
We just took our truck with the Basecamp tent out for a couple of nights of camping and I was planning on making a post about it, so Kara and Nate's Basecamp video is timely. Their video has some legitimate complaints, and some misses, so I figured I'd just use this thread to offer our...
I used acetone to strip the Protectaclear off my truck and it worked fine. I did have to change cloths a few times because they start getting gunked up with the stuff as it breaks down, but it was super easy to remove. A little windex after and you'd never know it was ever on there.
There are absolutely some instances of FCW that are false-positives, but in the grand scheme of things, it has minimal impact on our scores. With two teenagers, it’s still significantly less expensive than the insurance we had before, so I tolerate it for that reason alone.
Safety score is by car, so each has its own monthly premium based on the number of miles driving and safety score for that particular vehicle. You can see the safety score in the Tesla app under each vehicle’s “page”, but I think only the account owner can see it. My wife and kids do not see the...
