Took the cyber beast in for wheel covers and little stuff

1) I have had vibrating door when shutting hard on passenger side. No air or anything ever felt on it

Tesla Saying due to bad adhesive and both doors need to be replaced now. Seems a bit extreme, no?

2) I had the common windshield seals that looked peeling on the pillar and they said it’s “normal” and on every cyber now… even though many have reported it here and been repaired. ?

So TLDR, what I wanted fixed isn’t even being fixed and now a can of worms has been opened. May not replace doors, want to talk to tech. As always, Tesla makes it worse when they touch your vehicle after production.

Not sure what you are saying here. The door vibrates when the door is shut hard? As in it vibrates for a bit after shutting it hard?

Correct. You can hear some shimmy for a little after shutting it. Others have reported that here too. It also was misaligned upon delivery in July, which they “fixed” earlier.

Interesting, wonder if it is just the steel vibrating for a bit after a hard shut?

This is interesting. It sounds like you are describing the problem I had with my driver door early on and it was resolved by simply replacing the butyl tape between the door skin and the internal bracket. There was even a service advisory for how to do this. It was a pain in the ass to get into the door, though, so maybe they've changed the design of the door or find it to be less expensive to just replace the door vs the time spent on labor.

Did you have any symptoms from it besides vibration?

service tech told me it’s common and a big problem now, they’re replacing a lot of these door panels now.

The issue I had at the time was shutting the door made a terrible metal on metal clanging noise. It was just the internal bracket hitting the outer skin and I took the door apart myself and put some felt tape between the bracket and the door until I could get it in for service.

Perhaps your issue is something new or different, but if it’s the same (based on the tech’s notes, it sounds similar), it’s interesting they are choosing to replace the entire door.

Agreed.

AND it’s not on the driver door, but they want to replace that one at the same time now. From what the tech said, sounds like they know it’s becoming a problem and they’re just doing it now.

Was it something like this? I’m having a loud noise from my passenger door
Just like that. It’s really evident when you slam that door harder. The vibrating noise lasts for a little after slamming shut. You’ll be able to tell it’s different than all the other doors if you have it.

Yep it’s only that door, so most likely Tesla will replace the whole door ?

My driver side door also does this & rattles at high speed (over 70mph).
It’s a known issue according to Tesla & I’m having it replaced next week after months of waiting & showing up to the last appointment in December to find out they didn’t have a new door yet. What really sucks is the $800 to re-wrap & tint the door which Tesla says they’re not responsible for. I’ll be looking into an insurance rider to cover my wrap like others here have suggested.

We have this problem with the driver door on our Beast. At first we were told it was within spec. It got worse and now we have an appointment next week.
I wonder if they will replace the doors.
