Since I never get my wishes granted, but I’m feeling lucky today, I wish people would do less tow testing towing vehicles on trailers and actually tow things that people are more commonly going to tow. Campers, enclosed trailers, Boat, JetSki, dirt, bikes, etc.
I haven’t even even watched the...
Was the vault closed in the camper tow test? It was annoying the guy didn’t close it cuz he was afraid of getting pulled over. That killed the aerodynamics. EV towing is already bad enough so I’d love to see that test again with it closed.
Someone should test with a pop up camper. They are...
Has anyone seen any towing test videos yet? I haven’t and I can’t believe no one has done that yet since the Internet has been waiting for five years specifically for that! If you have a cyber truck, please tow some thing with it and give us the data. Lol. Thanks in advance
I bet they are just testing the giga casting machines and getting them tweaked and dialed in for production. Tesla would need to run the giga press machines at the speed they expect to run the whole production line for a long enough time to be confident they can perform and produce at said speed...
Oh OK thanks that’s helpful. I think I understand what you mean now. You are talking about drag coefficient but I wasn’t really referring to that. I was just making an assumption that the cyber truck will be more efficient in terms of battery tech and drivetrain tech and just tech in general...
Great info I appreciate it. I wonder if the 212 usable in the hummer is truly a 225ish. Because the GM was at 100% and they plugged it in and it charged for a while longer and kept adding energy. At only 212 actual I don’t think the GM truck could’ve achieved the towing range it did. Must be...
Math below based on TFL truck video
Pack size of the GM must be around 225kwh.
1.1 miles/kwh efficiency=250 mile towing range if driven to 0.
Truck said it had 475 when fully charged before towing which with a 225kwh pack would give it 2.11 miles/kwh efficiency rate while Not towing. Not too...

Cybertruck will have better...
That’s what I was thinking too. But so far the only close up pictures of tires I’ve seen were 33 inch. Those do look more like 35s though you’re right. The truck looks so much better at full height.
